Quote:He must have not met with the Closer.
I think the Closer was tired after his marketing effort geared toward the backup LB from Tampa Bay.
Considering the success rate they've had in signing guys who have visited, I'd say he's doing just fine in getting guys motivated to sign with the Jags. They're not going to land all of them.

Yep -- he must have had his coffee this morning !!!
My guess is TB will throw a bunch of money at him. Which might be worth it if he continues his form from last season but that's not a lock.
I don't think Tampa will overpay him, they already have Banks, Verner and are also interested in Tillman.

Totally forgot about Tillman. I really am not sure why TB would want Thurmond thinking about it. Verner and Banks with Tillman coming in? Seahawks all over again. He would be a main guy here.
Quote:lol funny all you do is remember the bad stuff....and btw, QG WAS the most talented QB of those 3. I'm not going to get every recommendation/ prediction correct.
But, typical, you don't remember these players that I also recommended drafting: S Michael Griffin, RB Jamaal Charles, RB Ray Rice, JJ Watt, amongst others.
I do remember Michael Griffin, the others were in drafts when I wasn't keeping your notes. What I do remember is keeping your draft list and the only one you got right was Griffin.
Quin Gray was the most talented he played the least in the NFL of all those qbs. You have to be the only person on the planet who believes Quin was the most talented QB of those three.
I also remember advocating we sign Donte Stallworth. There was another two DEs, Langford and someone else who each had like 3 sacks in their first three games of their careers you touted them as the next coming, and they have done almost nothing since.

Calais Campell......and he turned out good
I'm kinda hoping we sign this Thurmond now. Revis & Talib are gone....so might as well add someone familiar to Bradley and familiar with the D.

I would hope adding the leader of the Seahawks defense in Red Bryant and a solid veteran in Chris Clemons would help attract him here as well. I don't see why he'd want to go to TB or SEA unless he doesn't mind being a 3rd corner (which when healthy, I think he can be much more than that).
@WaltThurm3: Great visit with Gus and the Jaguars Organization, some good people. They're headed in the right direction. Now off to San Fran.
Don't think he's coming guys

So weighing out options = not coming to the Jags?

Quentin Moses
I like it when fans of other teams come here to make sure we dont get too excited about signing their team's former player.
I remember Bill fan guy coming here trying to say that Poz was not good.

Yeah, IDK, that sure didn't sound promising to me. Not that he's going on a visit, just the way he stated it. Who knows though.
