NFL network made connections with him and fisch at Minnesota. I think he would be a good Wr for us thoughts?
A guy like Decker is not a #1. Literally no point bringing him here when we don't even have the qb situation straightened out

He's at best a #2 WR. Doesn't do anything special but consistent. He'll probably sign a deal similar to Reilly Cooper. With that said I'd rather draft a WR vs spending money on an average vet.
I like him as a WR2, but he's seeking WR1 money and is better off as a compliment rather than "the guy".

He was a product of Manning. He would be no better than Shorts with Henne at the helm.
Decker was at Minnesota with Fisch for one season. It's a bit of a stretch to call it a connection.

I wouldn't mind Decker but he will not be worth what he gets paid.

How is there "literally no point"?

He fed off having Peyton Manning running the offense and having Bey bey, welker and J. Thomas around him

Our offense isn't built to take on the risk of a fringe #2 guy hoping he could be productive

Work with what we got now
No way. Fans out here were thrilled to see him go. He was Mincey'd--more focused on his off-field endeavors than his production on the field--and it showed.

Didn't you just start a thread about bringing Steve Smith to Jax?
Decker is overrated.  Manning makes everyone look good.  Heck, we thought Pierre Garcon was the next Reggie Wayne when he had Manning throwing to him.

I like the small quick dudes like Ace.  They are hard to cover.

No where did I say we would be paying Steve Smith 8-9 million plus...

If Decker was coming in for 2-3 million, no problems but Decker wants to get #1 money at #2 production
NFL forum is the place for this thread

I don't mind Decker -  but he's likely to be overpaid by another team.  I'm not a fan at all of big contracts to FA receivers and he's probably going to get one.

1288 yds and 11 tds is not #2 production but he wouldnt put up those numbers on a different team unless he went to the Pats.

The Pats would be the ideal landing spot for him IMO.

I see what you did there. And I like it.

Remember Manning threw for 5,400 yards...

yeah I remember

I'm not saying that he didn't benefit from playing with Manning, but he has always had a knack for finding the redone...

Dude had 8 TDs on 44 catches the year Orton/Tebow were the QBs.

He was a stud receiver at U of Minnesota too. He may have been an All American his senior year if he had not injured his foot.
