Quote:Do you think Bradley is going to name a rookie that isn't even on the roster, (who could be a rookie, or a F/A), the starter? Think for a second, the world isn't going to end. If you think the Jaguars are tanking, then I will confidently call you an idiot. It's really not this hard to understand.

The only way the Jaguars can break the stadium lease is if Khan buys out and breaks the lease.. That is the only condition in which the lease can be broken from my understanding. It won't happen.

I think Bradley should have said he likes the competition Henne brings to the locker room. If the team wanted a starter they should have looked somewhere else in free agency.

Also I'm pretty sure Khan can break the lease just by showing he lost money on the team for a specific number of seasons.

I know people are high on him doing stadium upgrades, but technically he could use his money spent on those things to create a net loss for the team's business and help him in breaking the lease.

I don't hope it's what's going on, but I know I certainly wouldn't buy a new season ticket before seeing what happens in the draft now.
Quote:I wouldn't say I'm worried, but declaring checkdown chad the starter here in March sure makes it seem like the team is planning to tank another season, and I don't know how many more Henne seasons this city can take before the Jaguars fulfill the conditions to break the stadium lease.

He has said he likes the competition Henne brings to the locker room, in fact, he said thats why Henne was their #1 F/A target. There is nobody that would come in to this offense and play better than Henne in F/A.

Yes, Khan can break the lease by showing he has lost money. However, only 2 teams in the history of the NFL have lost money during an NFL season, and teams generally will never open their books to the public whether they lost money, or not.

Why? The only reason teams have moved in the past is because of stadium issues. We just spent 63m on our stadium, along with 40m last year to upgrade some facilities. You're worrying for no reason at all.

What he said is his plan is for Henne to be the starter next year, period.

As for the rest, I don't want to see the Jaguars moved, but it's certainly easier to make a conspiracy of it with the way things currently are than if they'd have decided to try to find a QB capable of throwing more TDs than INTs in a season.

I don't think you get it.

Quote:I haven't read much on this topic lately but I keep reading different NFL sites stating there is a good possibility London will get a franchise. A lot of signs point to us moving there. We have had how many games there and we signed up for more the next couple of years. I'm not too thrilled about losing a home game to Dallas this year either.
you're just clueless....!
:woot: LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Bradley said Henne is the starter going into OTAs...not the starter for all of 2014.

So far he's said that his mindset is for Henne to start the season. In other words there won't be any encouragement of competition.

We can only hope for a Russel Wilson type of unexpected guy to show that he's the answer, because otherwise the team currently plans to start Henne for the whole season.

I think I liked you better when you were hanging on Gabbert's jockstrap. The fact that Gabbert got jilted seems to have had an adverse reaction on your psyche.

I heard Bradley on 1010xl this morning say Henne is the starter going into OTAs.  He also said that he is still going to have to compete for the starting job.

This team preaches competition constantly.  Henne will absolutely be competing for his job.

Are you the guy that posts at ProFootballTalk as "TheGreatGabbert"? That has to be you, right?
Quote:I disagree. The NFL has shown interest in having a team in London and has had quite a few regular season games here. The BPL has never played a game outside of England/Wales and the idea of having a game abroad was condemned to the moon a few years ago.

Not saying the Jags will move but an NFL team in London is much more likely than a BPL team in the USA.

I don't disagree that the NFL would like to see a team in London at some point, but the question was...would it be the Jaguars. In my book this has about the same chance of happening as a premier league team relocating to Jax...i.e. close enough to zero to not be worth mentioning.
Pro Football in London, full time. We think not.

Signed,

The Claymores

Now please off season, hurry up and end. Bollocks!
Not a chance in hell this teams leaves Jacksonville anytime soon.  Even less of a chance a team being in London.  The logistics of it aren't even there.  Who the hell would wanna take international flights 9x a year while banged and bruised?  Nobody would wanna play there.

How did you go from Henne being the starter in OTA's...you know, since there isn't a better option on the team right now, to "there won't be any encouragement of competition"??
London will be more than happy to take the Jaguars away.

If you don't believe that the British aren't attempting to take any NFL team from America, well what good are you?

I honestly believed that Khan was looking for an NFL team to move to Los Angeles. The Jaguars weren't his first attempt at buying a team. I think Weaver agreed to sell the team conditionally and Khan figured he would go along with it until he could poke holes in the lease and get out.

When the LA stadium deal hit snags London was the next logic money trail to follow.

$200,000,000.00 is a lot to you and me, but there are plenty of guys in London that can cut that check and not bat an eye.

It will always be in the back of your mind because the NFL wants it to be in the back of your mind. If you claim it isn't then what good are you?

When teams stink, threats are the only way to sell tickets.
