Quote:lol people in this city will lose it if we sign "dog killer" Vick and passed on God loving Tebow. I love it.
Actually Tebow passed on us...
NH3...
The actual tweet from Rapoport made it sound like it would be a backup plan if Henne left.
Signing Vick would be contradicting to what Gus and Dave are all about. Even if Henne doesn't re-sign. They're going to draft two QB's here in a few months. And I am with the other poster on here too that suggested they'd rather have Josh McCown over Michael Vick. Vick has yet to play a full sixteen game season in the NFL. And he's still an inconsistent passer. We need to get a young QB in here now to develop with a very young offense in general. It's the only way. And it can be done.
I'd much rather paid Vick a little extra (back up money) than to have Henne start again next season.
Quote:Watched Vick for the the last 3 years he is terrible throws 13 to 14 ints season and fumbled about every game.I think Chad is a better game manager.
Henne threw 13td and 14 picks.....vick threw 5 td to 3 picks.....what are you saying mannn

I don't think Vick's coming here
Smh..... I bout to throw up.
That was 2013 stats look at 2011 and 12 stats for ints and fumbles. I think he only played 5 or 6 games last year.
I'm 100% okay with Vick if we're planning on taking Murray or Garopollo in the later rounds, this will allow us to take BAP in the first 2 rounds and we can let our guy sit a year and learn the offense honestly I'm okay with that.

Look at the bright side, that all but tells us Gabbert is going to be released.
He's the best QB on the market and we need a vet QB to be there with what ever rookie QB we bring in, he said he is ok being a mentor to a young QB if needed and he can start if needed
Quote:As said before....the only way this makes sense in my eyes, is if the Jags plan on drafting Johnny Manziel. This way, if one gets hurt, the offense doesn't need to change drastically to fit the other's skill set.
Otherwise, I don't want to see this guy as a Jaguar.
Like I said. Vick, Sammy and Boyd. Electric!
(Al Bundy voice) "Uh.. no Peg."
Quote:On Vick: Nope. his play style is "exciting" but the results at the end of the day are the same that a guy like Henne would give you.

yep and you're the same guy that wants henne as the starting qb for this team? I'm glad you're not the GM for this franchise and you starting to act more like wiseman1 on message board with your obsession on hating one player.
So if we have to take a hit for Gabberts money whether or not he is on the roster or not.
Why would you release him, other than spite.

Thank you my good friend because for once someone made some sense with this situation, I'm not saying play blaine gabbert because i'm done with him just everyone else on the message board. We as a franchise can save that money to resign chad henne and use it elsewhere to improve the football team and draft teddy bridgewater at #3 and not look back.
id take mike vick.... its obviously a stop gap move but i think he could bring a huge improvement to the position instantly... try and keep him in the pocket as much as possible but with all the holes in our line, we are gonna need someone with some wheels... overall i think it would be a good move
He's not that good. He's always hurt. I don't understand the upside. You'll just end up playing the backup anyway.
Wasted money.
Man i hope this doesnt happen
