And Gabbert is a huge female body part. Gabbert only dreams about being as tough as Johnny M.

Just wondering. How tall are you?

If he was 6'2 and did everything in college the same, these same scouts would be drooling over him, its height bias, this kid put up great passing numbers, even if he had 0 rushing yards he still throw the ball great."Yeah, it could come unraveled. And when it does, it’s gonna be bad. Real bad...It’s one night away from the phone ringing, and he’s in jail. And you know what he’s gonna say? ‘It’s better than all the pressure I’ve been under. This is better than that.’”

It just seems to me that Carr is always falling away when he throws the ball. He doesn't step into his throws which concerns me.

I've been saying Carr is a better prospect than Manziel since before the new boards, and been getting blasted by TMD and others for that opinion. I understand why people are scared of Carr because the scars from Gabbert are still so fresh, but Carr's pocket issues are not even close to the level of Gabbert's. He get anxious with bodies around him, but he isn't scared and he doesn't panic like Blaine...and he also doesn't sense phantom pressure.
Carr is also a very good athlete. His combine was just as impressive as Manziels (even moreso considering size difference), and on cutups he doesn't show it off nearly as much but when he does scramble he is very effective.
We also saw how great of a leader Carr was during the SR bowl. He was the only player on either team that attended the other positions group meetings, and he was the only player that made a concerted effort to meet every player on his team and form a relationship. He and Jordan Matthews were also the only two players who stayed after every practice to get extra work in.
Long story short, Carr is a dream prospect from every single standpoint except for one...and that one worry is being way overblown because we have dealt with a QB prospect with similar issues recently. Carr fixing his pocket issues is just as likely or more likely than Manziel fixing his plethora of concerns.

There is no way I could pick Carr over Manziel. Bridgewater over Manziel, I can't argue or be upset with that. Bortles reminds me a lot of Luck. But I don't think Bortles has the accuracy that Luck has. If we take a QB at 3 or move back a little, it's Bridgewater or Manziel. If we take a QB later, there could be quite a few potential one's in the 3rd or later.

Quote:Third round.. Lol.
I didn't say someone wouldn't take him before that, I said that's when I'd feel comfortable taking someone like him.
Russell Wilson went in the third round and was arguably the more polished prospect of the two. I just wouldn't take a 5'11" guy who is more athlete than QB right now before the third round.

If we pass on a QB at 3, I think we could do a lot worse than Carr in the second round (if he's even there). I'm basing a lot of that on the hope that this organization won't be as eager as the last to cut the starting QB on the eve of the regular season. If Carr is thrown right in as a rookie, I suspect he'll struggle. If he sits behind Henne, who I believe can be competent--not spectacular, just competent--with improved offensive line play and more receiving help, he can develop into a solid QB.
Bridgewater remains my strong preference at QB, then Bortles, then Carr.

Gabbert isn't scared. Remember he ran out of bounds and yelled "whoa muthaf....." to Cushing. A scared person would have said nothing and not stood up to Cushing.
