Im kinda leaning this way also and especially if Manziel and Clowney are off the board.  The more picks the better and with this deep draft a couple extra 2nd and 3rd round picks could really help out in our rebuild.

He said he wanted to trade down last year, if the right deal comes he will do it but if not no way

Quote:What does Caldwell think of Johnny Manziel? Jadeveon Clowney?

And quarterback – what about quarterback?

All were topics, and Caldwell offered a few thoughts. He called the competitiveness of Manziel, Texas A&M’s dynamic quarterback, "intriguing.” He called Clowney, the defensive end from South Carolina many believe the draft’s best player, “talented – extremely talented.”

If Clowney and Manziel are taken, I'm really hoping for a trade down too..
With no Clowney or Manziel... Trade down and hope for Bortles, or get Mack/Barr and Carr/McCarron in the second.

Just get me Johnny

More transparency.......or a smokescreen........hmmmmmm

He's either getting us fans used to the idea that we won't be getting a QB with the 3rd pick.....or.........throwing up a smokescreen to dissuade any Cleveland or Oakland from moving up and getting their QB. Also, trading back one or 2 places and we might pick Watkins. Dave earlier mentioned that if Blackmon comes back that it would be a "bonus" and we have other plans.........
He must not see a franchise QB in the top of the draft if he is willing to trade down.

Watkins Watkins Watkins, seems more likely everyday.

He probably believes that Manziel will go top 2.

That's how he feels or he's trying to get Cleveland, Oakland, Minnesota, etc. to think we're not going QB......

Yes....it's a possibility.....but St. Louis is interested also in him......they want either the best OT or WR if they don't get a trading partner.
i think lee is going to be as good if not better than sammy and we could get him in the 15 range.....but I only have eyes for one guy clowney clowney clowney

That, and expecting Clowney off the board.

If both are true, I'd love to be able to trade back, too.

Folks are starting to talk about how deep this draft is all the way back to the third and fourth rounds.

After wasting more time than I ever thought I would on the fanspeak.com draft simulator, I can see where folks are getting that from.

OT, WR, RB, CB, S... there's a lot of talent in this draft.  There are also a lot of developmental QBs, too.

Or if there's no QB off the board at three, get someone to trade with us so they pick the one they want.

Prospects of trading back would probably be better since there are a handful of teams behind us needing QB, too.  Get them to think one is within reach, and they'll bite to get their guy.  Then, trade back and we still get our guy.
If the Texans dont draft Clowney I think we might try to trade up and get him and it wouldnt cost that much.  We just have to hope the Texans dont take Clowney.

Again, he can see a Franchise QB in this draft and still want to trade down, if houston takes manziel and stlouis trades long and takes clowney then its watson or trade down.

PS, Lee is a bum, dropped more deep passes than he caught and he is injury prone BUST!

Who is this Watson you speak of?  Is he good?  Watson=GOAT?

I meant Watkins, easy mistake.

The only reason you believe this is Clowney added to Watt and Cushing is your worst nightmare.

Take Jake.
