I think Peppers covers better than Adams and is more athletic but I think Adams is the better tackler. Both are great players but the turnover thing is kind of eh in my mind. Adams has 2 turnovers this year and Peppers has one,Adams had 5 his sophomore year and Peppers had 0.

Peppers ain't good in coverage apart from defending the flats. Adams can cover deep

Fwiw I would draft Adams, reminds me of TJ Ward
I'd like to actually trade down for once..

Yes!
After watching some tape i have to agree with Mcshay(kinda). I would trade down to the Jets pick which is #5,they jump Chicago.

I would go with

Round 1 Pick #5-Jamal Adams-S LSU-Watch the TAMU game, hes all over the field! Leader of the LSU defense, makes great reads, big hitter, played really well against Ole Miss/Bama, great in covering the flats, and he can play deep if needed. Guy is a stud and would be a big big upgrade over Cyp.

Round 2 Pick #3-Dan Feeney-OG IU-One of the top guards in the class, likes to get to the second level, gets good drive, good pass blocker, smart and helps out Tackles when needed, has some problems with long guys, and not the fastest guy.

Round 3 Pick #3-Des Lawrence-CB-UNC-Big physical corner who loves to come up and make a tackle, has good speed and length to jam and recover if needed. Only knock on him is he has zero INTs this year.

Round 3 Pick #5-Bucky Hodges-VT TE-to start he is 6'7 250 and looks like he runs a 4.6,idk how you're supposed to guard that! Hes not the best blocker because VT normally has him out wide or at RB(yes, for real) but he has the size to learn to be decent. Watch his tape from the Pitt game,he's what we want Julius Thomas to be.

Round 4 Pick #3-Dan Skipper-RT Arky-He is 6'10 and plays like it. Can can out leveraged but also can be a mauler in the run game, would be great to learn under Parnell and be the swing tackle. Did pretty well against Jon Allen in the Bama game

Round 5 Pick #3-Freddie Stevenson-FB FSU-Big FB from FSU,pretty athletic and good at setting the edge

Round 6 Pick #3-J.T Barrett-QB OSU-Its the 6th round and his numbers are solid so he can fight it out with Allen and Henne

Round 7 Pick #3-Evan Berry-S Tenn- Good KR/PR and also a decent backup safety

Know yall wont like it but I'm a really big fan of it,fills a lot of our needs!!

Free Agents(why not)

QB-Hoyer-Can be a veteran who actually can play decent at times unlike Henne

WR-Brandon Tate-Wanted this guy for years,special teams ace,upgrades Benn

OG-Larry Warford- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

DE-Jabaal Sheard- Been New Englands best pass rusher,Yannick,Fowler,Sheard would be really nice

CB-Kayvon Webster-Really solid backup corner for Denver and probably the best gunner in the NFL
If Garrett and Allen are off the board I'd trade down for Barnett or maybe Williams

This is assuming Cyp is re-signed
Quote:Eh, Troy was more productive and better in coverage than Peppers had shown so far. He's a far better athlete than Troy, but as an actual football player, I've been left kinda cold watching him play. The Mathieu comparison baffles me because he's never played at the level that Tyrann did on defense before the drug issues popped up.
Not all GMs and scouts are good at their jobs lol

Agree with Warford and Feeney. The offensive line would be solid, especially if Parnell plays like he did in his first season with the Jags. Would still bring in another right tackle to compete. I'm torn on Jamal Adams as he looks like a potentially great safety, however the team seems to have much greater needs at pass rush. If Allen or Garrett is available, I'd lean towards one of those guys.

The team does have a need at pass rush, but in my opinion Jonathan Allen wouldn't boost that pass rush alot. Good player, great first step and drive but lots of his pressures come from stunts. When he is one on one with Tackles he sometimes struggles to get off blocks in pass rush. He would definitely have to be inside and move Malik to the outside and cutting Odrick. Jamal Adams is the best FS pick in the class and it's not really close if you watch Adams and then you go watch Evans/Maye/Peppers it's a wide margin. If we got him and Des and resigned Prince we'd have the best secondary in the NFL in 2 years.
