Quote:IMO I think that the top of the 1st round typically there's a more clear picture of how the players are rated by most GM's. And it seems as if Dave Caldwell did this last year but it's probable that they'll pick who ever they rate as the best player regardless of position of need. Then from the 2nd round on they'll start drafting need over BAP. For instance last year it was Joeckel, pretty much consensus BAP of the entire draft for most of the pre-draft season. Then he went DB's with the next two picks with Gratz, in my opinion, being more of a need pick than a BAP pick than Cyprien in the 2nd who most thought they would get before the 2nd round started.

I just think they'll pick someone I may not have wanted them to but then think, "yeah that makes sense, he's the best player there." I just hope it's not Sammy Watkins because the draft is so deep at WR and a single WR is not involved in as many plays as a DE or QB. I just won't be surprised if it is.

Except Luke also fit a position of need.
Clowney

Bridgewater

Barr (Over Mack because of Macks character concerns)

Ford

Watkins

Five targets, third slot.

Sit back and see who falls.

Doesn't appear like there would be any reason to trade up.  But depending on the shuffle, we may get lucky and have an opportunity to trade back.
