Well, that is ridiculous.   We barely got into WWI, so you can't count that.   And secondly, we had a lot of help in WWII.   Especially the Soviets, who took on 2/3 of the German army, and the British, who stood absolutely alone in 1940 while we dithered around trying to decide if we were going to do anything.

Yeah, it's really impressive how they just dominate that sport year after year.
