One gold medal more than a country with 285 million less citizens, no mountains and where it barely snows. Well done you.

 

PS: I said it before in this thread; I  had (and have) no illusion of the Netherlands hanging on to the top of the medals table.

 

PPS: Kim Yuna just got screwed out of a gold medal in favor of the hometown girl.

Yuna was flawless but, in all fairness, unless they fall or stumble noticeably, I find it hard to distinguish among the top skaters.

 

Tara Lapinski and Johnny Weir sporting matching gold hair bands, now that I noticed.

I don't know if it's true but someone told me that in every Olympic event that includes judges the athletes of the hosting nation score significantly higher than they have ever did before or after the Olympics.

USA vs. Canada womens hockey is outstanding.

USA ladies shooting themselves in the foot in the hockey final.
