Quote:Believe it or not, it's very stable and comfortable at that speed.
LOL. Here is an older photo of my Lowrance GPS showing my top speed after testing different props on the river.
You're a bad man.
Isn't it hard to find water flat enough to go that fast on?
Note to self jagbelieve is not fishing on his boat....

Not really. I actually prefer just a little bit of ripple or chop on the water. Flat water as in the picture that I posted above is actually slower due to friction.
Quote:I would freak out on a boat going that fast.
I would need a new pair of underwear.
AND pants...

Well yes I am... sorta. Here's a picture at the Hooters in Mandarin. It's not a real good picture, taken with a crappy cell phone a few years ago.

I've never been able to find a body I'd be comfortable going that fast on here. Maybe 60 tops for me.

Tom Magliozzi - one half of "car talk" on NPR passes away.
I have enjoyed the show - their humor and insight for many years.
RIP.
Funny show. I liked the part when they would have the caller mimic the sound they were calling about.
Quote:Since part of the title of this thread said "all things fast", I thought that I would post a couple of pictures of my boat. It's a 1999 Stroker Bass Boat with a Mercury Racing 250XS motor. The first picture is me "cruising" down the St. John's River a couple of years ago. The second is a photo of my top speed that day. I've run it faster, but don't have a picture of the gauge with the peak speed/RPM reading.

What you can't see is his horrified ex-wife skiing behind.

I think my daughter is in that picture.

Auto magazines/bloggers have been admonishing A.M. for not really updating the styling to their coupe for the past 10 years by any significant measure.
I think they'll shut-up now.
