I have to hand it too you, I dont think of Smith as being that good due to Texans inability to find a qb, but wow, he does alright in the first round. Highly impressive. Cant imagine how good the Jags would be if we actually hit on our 1st round picks like that.

Rick Smith didn't find Arian Foster.. Arian's woman did a Google search on NFL teams with the weakest RB core and the Foster's reached out to the Texans..Foster found the Texans, credit Rick Smith for signing him/giving him a shot, but the Foster's did all the leg work in the recruiting phase.

Wrong.  Rick Smith scouted Arian and was the first player he contacted when he wasnt drafted.  After the draft, Arian had offers from multiple teams, including the Texans.  Arian and his girlfriend (future ex-wife) chose the Texans based on the lack of RB competition they saw on the roster.

Smith also gave him a two-year deal, which is pretty unusual for an undrafted rookie.

Wrong just because you say so doesn't mean it's true.. the Foster's contacted the Texans you need to get your facts straight and stop making crap up.

So I was part wrong because they did show interest but that same G.M. built the craptastic backfield in the NFL which led to the Foster's seeking us out. Rick Smith is not as great as you make him a seem he's been decent in the draft except for 2nd/mid round picks but he has sucked in free agency hence the 72 million dollar contract on a backup QB or the Ed Reed signing..he's a yes man and our owner has his arm shoved smoothly up his [BLEEP].

Ed Reed was ALL McNair.  Brock was an equal BoB and Smith signing.  Scroll up.........u see all the picks that are still on the team, especially the 1st rounders.  That 2014 draft that people were so quickly to write off as a bust........may end up being Smith's best.  Is he the best GM? No.....but he needs to get credit for what he has done.

A good GM wouldn't be a yes man and would've stood up for the safety he already drafted "Glover Quinn" and wouldn't have signed Reed.. kinda sounds familiar with our QB position.. that's atleast 36 million down the drain. Bob and Cal need to just sign checks and stay the hell out of football decisions.

Not trying to a grammar geek but "the wrong side of 20," means anyone who is 21+. So in theory everyone in the NFL is on the wrong side of 20. I think you meant the wrong side of 24/25, but that is typically a players prime years.

Ok, wrong end of 20. Better? Prime or not, multiple back surgeries are a killer. He is basically done and wouldn't be surprised if he retired before the season started.

So apparently Clowney has great hands as well!!!  He had a great playoff game against the Raiders.
