I often like to hear new interpretations of old rock and roll standards. Here are two from an artist I stumbled upon a few months ago and whom I enjoy, Lissie.

Please post some of your favorites.

The first is a faithful rendition of Stairway to Heaven.

This is a nice arrangement of the Fleetwood Mac hit Go Your Own Way.

The Last Shadow Puppets covering I want You by the Beatles.

Nice.

Keeping with The Beatles theme, Norwegian Wood by Alanis Morissette:

The best "Imagine" cover I've ever heard.

In my opinion, this is one of the best covers ever done.

Cash does it so well, he almost redefines the song without changing its meaning. If that makes sense.

Incredible cover, incredible video.

I remember the year it came out, Justin Timberlake was awarded video of the year.  He got up on stage, and in kind of a reverse Kanye, said that someone else deserved it instead of himself.  That someone was Johnny Cash.

In keeping with the NIN covers:

Lillian Axe covers Badfingers "No Matter What"

The Sundays covering "Wild Horses" from the Rolling Stones

I loved this woman's voice when this band was around. (Harriet Wheeler)

I always liked this version of 10cc's song "I'm Not In Love" by Will To Power better than the original

Real nice sax solo, too

Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed both of those covers. I kept worrying about how she'd handle the end of Stairway, but she did pretty well. I'm really liking her music.

I love Alex Turner; Arctic Monkeys are one of my all-time favorites. New album rocks. Up there with Humbug for their best IMO.
My absolute all-time favorite band playing my favorite band of all time:
