This report pretty much is them saying, we are hearing offers for our pick. At first i was ecstatic, but then i realized how much fire power the Browns have. I think they could use that to take Manziel over us. With Texans selecting Bortles or Teddy, most likely Teddy.
Im telling you all, the Manziel hype is FOR REAL. Noones going to let a Wilson type scenario happen again. This kid has the it factor.

I 100% agree

If I'm Caldwell, i do my do diligence on Manziel, if he is a Franchise QB, you do what you can to trade up and get him
I for one wouldn't be surprised. If we don't get him, I don't want him in THIS division.

Can you imagine if Manziel, Luck and Winston are the QB of our division opponents. I may just quit watching football. But the tankers are losers and idiots.......
The absolute best scenario for the jaguars at this point is
1. Texans take Bortles, Rams take O line, Jags chose between Teddy and Manziel
Hard to imagine the Rams not trading out of #2.
Really, this is them wanting the Browns to open negations with them. They have the fire power to trade up. But its not like there going to get a ton of suitors. The farther back they go in the draft the more expensive it will be. This sets up well for either Jacksonville or Cleveland, both who have QB needs to trade up.
I think Atlanta will trade with the Rams to get Clowney.
First of all, please stop comparing Wilson and Manziel they are absolutely nothing alike in playstyle. They are both short, and mobile...but way different with how they use their mobility even. That's where the comp ends. Wilson is way closer to Teddy as a player, actually.
Second, my prediction as of last week is the Browns will give both of their 1sts to jump us and get Manziel at 2.

That's not the first time I've heard this.

The only thing to be taken from "don't let a Wilson type scenario happen again" is a warning to not pass on a QB for what may be the wrong reasons. That's the only comparison I see anyone making. So I guess the message is, don't make assumptions that aren't there.
The Browns can't possibly be so stupid that they bet the farm on a QB this year. There are so many holes yet to fill. But then again, they did waste their two first round picks last year (one gone and one likely to be gone.) Weeden never made any sense. He was Rip Van Weinke II, and it was obvious from the start.

Thank you. It's the new thing to do with qbs. Every short mobile qb is Russell Wilson and any qb you don't like is Gabbert. It's really lazy and horribly wrong almost every tune.

Blaine Gabbert 2.0

That bold part is what I call a dream scenario.

And then we select Clowney.
I fail to see what's wrong with this. Worst case scenario is that we land Manziel and that's not bad at all IMO.
You're whistling through the graveyard.
This quarterback class lacks elite talent. None of the quarterbacks are worth top draft consideration. Those smitten with the quarterback fetish need their heads examined.
Teddy Bridgewater sand-bagged. He was the number two high school quarterback prospect in America. He had scholarship offers from major college football programs and he declined to accept them based on the reality he would have to earn the starting job. He committed to the University of Miami then got cold feet. Where's the character of a champion? Where's the fearless determination? Where's the confidence? Where's the superior talent? Where's the video of the Louisville - Cincinnati game at videobreakdown.com? Why is it missing? Why can't we see Teddy Bridgewater looking like butterfingers trying to throw the football against the Bearcats? Hmmmmm?
Johnny Manziel? Is puny a sign of durability to you? Are we ready to believe that a quarterback playing under center is a thing of the past? Isn't it more likely Johnny BiGfooT can't play under center because of those size 15 feet? Will Tony Khan create analytics to express sacks caused by big feet getting stepped on by lineman? He looked good as new with a month of rest. No more signs of shop wear. Can we just roll him out once a month as a spot-starter? How about a change of pace quarterback?
Blake Bortles? For who would Bortles bear to grunt and sweat under a weary rookie quarterback? Did you
see Bortles turtle up on You Tube? See, isn't that bad or just bad when Blaine Gabbert does it?

Wilson was a much more polished passer but agree Manziel will pprobaby go top 5.
