Who we draft means nothing. Gus and Shad turned it down last year. Maybe they change their mind but it wont be because of who we draft...

The Jaguars more than likely didn't want the distraction of having Hard Knocks here while they were in the midst of a pretty significant transition last year. A year later, it wouldn't surprise me to hear the tune change for Gus and Shad as they look for new ways to try to expand the fan base. It makes sense, and it would be a great opportunity to give Gus more exposure.
Having watched NFL Films operate during the show they did here several years ago, it's worth considering merely for the exposure.

I'm a bit uneducated on who does what regarding the show, but does NFL Films produce Hard Knocks? I thought it was HBO.

Apparently from what I have read, no one wants to do it, but there is a mechanism for the league to force someone to do it.

It's the NFL Films people who produce the show for HBO. They do a great job of capturing the action without getting in the way.

Personally, I would love to see my own team on Hard Knocks. I know the supposed drawbacks from having your team on the show, but we all know we likely aren't going to win the super bowl next year so in my opinion it would be great to see our players get national exposure and to be able to see them on a more intimate level. The Dolphins are my distant #2 team and I really enjoyed watching them. (There was the added bonus that their training camp facility was right next to where I was taking classes at the time).

This would be a huge deal for Khan as he wants to "expand the brand" of the Jacksonville Jaguars. What better way to do it? And it wouldn't cost him a dime.

We wont be chosen unless all other eligible teams say no.
And if we are, ESPN will run stories about how hard knocks is dead and nobody likes it anymore.

It'll be fun if Clowney or Manziel are drafted here. Both are colorful personalities.
There comes a time where you need to stop worrying about these things and just be a fan, and as one of like, five Jaguars fans in all of Colorado, I'd love this.

It's pretty cool when you learn how to do this.

Wasn't there a show that the Jaguars had that was similar to Hard Knocks awhile back called Jaguar camp or something?

Yes, back in 2003 or 04.

Agree.
If we build the product the right way and WIN, then the National TV home games will come naturally, hence the free exposure.

I don't know how long it takes them to produce a full episode of Hard Knocks but I'm assuming its not the entire training camp. What distractions occur can't be too significant unless it really interrupts the flow of practices.
For the little bit of annoyance I think the return in exposure is a good trade.
