Im not anti-Manziel but it takes more than IT or want-to to be good in the nfl. You cant give energetic speeches on the sideline every drive.

His energetic speeches and all that other stuff is completely besides the point.
Noone wants Manziel of his speeches. For his elite escapability, his clutch traits, his accuracy especially on the move? - Yes.

The guy is extremely talented and his accuracy is probably the best I've seen. He's a drew brees. Or has that potential.

Just declared to go to the draft!!!!

I just called for season tickets and was told that I'm number 98,458 on the waiting list.

I finally jumped on his bandwagon about 2 games into this season. I'd be all for Manziel here. I was a rock solid no last year up through the summer.

tinhorns will try desperately to trade out of that spot and will most likely end up picking the wrong guy if they don't.

How many td did he throw this year? Like 32 34?

37 actually

Yea, Manziel is my guy, I'm hoping we draft him.

Teddy is the safer pick, he really is the most pro ready, he's got everything you want in a franchise QB. Just not like an elite prospect, but has potential and the ability to be good. Johnny is a boom or bust. He's either going to be great or bad. He's got that type of game. He is a very good player, can he transition to the NFL? I think so, and its a risk I'm willing to take. Bortles i think is a little over rated by some, but i think with good coaching and a good situation, he can transition smoothly.
1. Teddy
2. Manziel
3. Bortles
1. Teddy
2. Manziel
3. Bortles

He's gonna get broke in the NFL.

Quote:I do not want them getting Ryan Mallett.Yes there so many reliable sources touting so many QB needy teams following your oh so sage advise. Remind us again why you are not a GM but rather, grace us with your presence?
See....every good football idea I have, other good coaches have it too.
I knew Mallett is going to be good.

I don't care if we get JM or TB. I like them both to be honest.

Let me get this straight.
There are rumors that the Texans may trade for Mallet. Somehow, this means he is going to be good.
By that brilliant logic, should the Texans not make the trade, that means he's not going to be bad, and you were wrong.
Got it.

Not sure how you interpreted it that way, but....
No, he's going to be good regardless. I've been touting Mallett ever since that draft. I wanted the Jags to draft him that draft.
The Texans will suffer if they don't get a good QB. If they get any one of Mallett, Bridge, Bortles or Manziel then thats bad news for us. There are levels of better for us, if say the Texans take Bortles at 1, instead of trading down from 1, getting a windfall of picks, and then STILL getting Bortles, for example.

i disagree with TMD on this 100%. how good did the last back up qb they traded for work out for them?
mallett is never going to be anything. the patriots wouldnt dump him if they thought he was going to be a long term starter in the nfl. tom brady is up there in age and theyre 1 injury away from having to play the second string guy regardless. they got extraordinarily lucky having brady behind bledsoe when he got injured.
mallett doesnt have it between the ears.
