His butchering of the English language should be a embarrassment to him and the school that claims to be educating him. There is not a doubt in my mind that that guy is functioning at a fifth grade level or below. he should not even be eligible to attend the school much less be on the field.
I have yet to meet someone who talks grammatically correct all the time, and talking is different than writing. Hes just a young kid who is exited... He just won a title ffs!
Oh and btw, I am pretty sure I learned about a/an somewhere around the 3rd Grade. Thank you for your critique of someone's English/grammar in your beautifully put, perfect English post. I am assuming you didn't make it to the 3rd grade?

I'm sure he appreciates you coming to his rescue, it's adorable. If excitement was the reason for his idiotic ramblings he must of been through the roof after winning the Heisman. That speech will go down in history. He actually had time to prepare that one. Oh my. exited? oops.
Quote:im an fsu fan and have supported this team though the last crappy decade and im stoked we just won the glass ball but......we got our butt(would like to use a better word) kicked... both sides of the ball.... auburn shut down jameis and we had no answer for mason or that middle of the road qb,... dont get me wrong, im stoked we won.... but.... for some reason, i feel like we got our butt kicked.
Sometimes you have to take what is given to you. Winning sloppy is still winning. I look at it that FSU played at about 75% efficiency and still won. CONGRATS !!!
GO PITT !!! ACC !!

Exactly.
They are acting as if FSU has been winning national titles every year and that this ho hum performance isn't acceptable.
Newsflash: FSU just won the National freaking Title-their first since 1999.
Guys, a freshman QB just won the NT game. Freshman. I don't think people posting in this thread realize how unbelievable and hard that is. He also scored two TD'S on his final two drives, led the greatest come back in BCS NT game history and first freshman to win NT and Heisman in the same year. What world are we living in where that is now not impressive.
Quote:Jameis was far from impressive tonight. Auburn sent 7 guys several times and Jameis was unable to find the open man. I'm honestly shocked that FSU didn't attempt more screens than they did.
Yep, I thought FSU should have attempted more screens, if anything just to slow down the aggressive blitz-heavy approach of Auburn.

But he's a freshman for a team that doesn't play in the SEC so it doesn't count as much.
Have we really gotten to the point where someone legitimately writes a thread with a title of, and I'm paraphrasing here, "Yeah, we're the National Champs and all, but..."
Think about that for a minute! You're the national freaking champions! You won every game! Every game! No one, not anybody, can say that you shouldn't be the National Champions. I get that you didn't blow out your opposition in the biggest game of the season but you still won!
How spoiled are we?!?!?!
Quote:Jameis solidified his elite status.
If a quarterback is only great when he's good, no quarterback would be great.
I don't think that you really believe this, or you didn't watch the game.

Making a speech with millions of people watching isn't easy. Public speaking is a phobia many people can't conquer.

If there wasn't some truth to that statement Manning would have....6 rings?
Quote:Have we really gotten to the point where someone legitimately writes a thread...
Nah, I don't think this counts as "legitimate."

So it's not just me then wondering about this!
I was worried for a second.

Some people never get over it, but at 19 years old? I can't imagine the pressure.

This post is stupid. The way someone speaks isn't indicative of their intelligence at all.
Jameis picked up momentum as the game went on. Just because you don't play your best in 1 game doesn't mean you're not the real deal. Plenty of QBs have "gotten by" in the Super Bowl and have turned out to be really good. Big Ben vs Seattle comes to mind for me.
Jameis will be just fine. He had a lot of great runs to get 1st downs so it's obvious that he's smart enough switch gears an go with what is working.

He got into Stanford. Just an FYI.
Yeah Auburn DID leave a ton of points on the field. The dropped TD pass early in the 1st quarter, the missed field goal, and personally I feel the missed PI call when the Auburn receiver (Coates?) was wide open and the safety ran into him near the end zone and completely stopped his progress. I think he would have had a great chance at the ball if the defensive move would have been a clean one.
That's 17 points right there... I fell asleep towards the end of the 3rd quarter so I'm not sure what else I missed.
Auburn definitley should have won that game, but they had a great year and nothing can be taken away from that. Plus they recently won with Cam so it's not like they desperately needed that.
I will say I think they have some of the craziest formations and I wouldn't want to be stuck on the defense trying to figure out where the ball is going!

Some of those plays looked like the Globetrotters running the Weave.

Are you kidding me, is this real life? They fought back from a horrible first half and 18 point deficit where they were clearly out coached, to shut out the auburn O in the 3rd and pull out the victory in the 4th in one of the best BCS championships ever.
And you are on here pouting? Did auburn fans pout when they had fluke last minute victories over georgia or alabama? Pretty sure they just enjoyed the victory and were proud their team was able to pull it out. Jeesh some people.
