I wonder if he'll get the dreaded, "fully developed, no more upside" tag?
Makes me sad he won't be in a Jags uni
But those 4 wins totally changed the outlook of the season.....so glad we get to miss out on a great qb that could fix the position for the next ten years.....

Peyton got that.  I wouldn't worry much about what the media says about it.  I just hope we're in a position to draft the guy.

You'd rather we go 0-16, with a completely demoralized team and fan base, and a GM and coaching staff that are on the hot seat?   Just so we can pick one guy over another who may be just as good?
If the tinhorns take him, I hope he has a miserable career and fizzles out of the league in 4 years. If we get him, I hope he is the next Brady.

A most reasonable take!

Well, in 2011 we went 5-11.

Were we any less demoralized?  The next year, we went 2-14.  What about then?

Who do you think wound up more demoralized?

Indy, who picked first overall in 1998 and wound up with Peyton Manning, or SD, who picked second overall, didn't have access to Manning when they drafted, and chose Ryan Leaf?

Bridgewater isn't Luck and Bradley/Caldwell aren't Del Rio/Gene Smith, but how happy were you with those 5 wins in 2011?

Sorry, but 4-12 didn't exactly make me that excited for next season.

We still ended up with the worst point differential in team history.  That's pretty demoralizing right there.  One guy may be just as good as the other.  Or he may not be.  And if the first guy turns out great, and the Texans get him, then that means we face him twice a year for the next so many years.
Bridgewater might actually be better than Luck.

What relevant trait would you say Bridgewater is superior in to Luck? I can't think of one.

Teddy is from the same cut of quarterback as him, but Luck has him in every department that a scout would consider important. Size, mechanics, physical gifts, pedigree.

I think TB has better footwork, better pre snap reads, better release. i think he also reads the defense better, but that is really a tough one to determine.
TB is better with pre snap reads and touch, but Luck has him beat in size, arm strength, and speed.

4 wins adds so much morale....I know I'm proud.

Cheers to Teddy torching us twice a year....not only do we not get him...our conference rival does.

Determining who is better with pre-snap reads between those two seems really subjective. I think Teddy had more control of his offense in college, but one had Shawn Watson as his coordinator and the other had Jim Harbaugh running the offense. The fact that a megalomaniac Harbaugh even acquiesced some control to Luck speaks volumes, in my opinion.

Touch is one I will agree with. Wasn't factoring that in.
