Quote:I love how everyone uses "supporting cast" to tear down the prospects they don't like, yet prop up Manziel, who has never had a tackle block for him that won't be a top 15 pick, to go along with the best WR.
Oh many of us knock Manziel for his all world supporting cast too. Neither of them have ever played without 6-7 other NFL players alongside them.
Quote:Good comeback. But once again, with an average cast that's a fifteen yarder at best.

Since when are 15 yarders a bad thing?
I'm not knocking AJ for his cast, and if you notice in my write ups I always say not to focus on the numbers, etc.

The only impact his cast has is that they increase statistical production, which I barely give any credence to anyway.

Quote:I don't prop up Manziel at all. I don't like him at 3. 2nd round? Maybe, but he won't be there. I prop up Connor Shaw because without him SC wouldn't have done jack this season.

Hard to believe Clowney, Quarles, Hampton and Sutton wouldn't have found a way to have similar result, no matter the QB. He did have a great season, but he doesn't have a skill set that translates well to the NFL, which is why most expect him to go undrafted.

I watched every SC game, their D was nothing to be proud of this year compared to years prior. Did you see the O with Thompson? Couldn't do nothing. See game vs Mizzou. Shaw and Davis were the team this year.

Ha. Maybe you. I've seen nothing but a Johnny love-fest the past few days when he beat a team he was favored by 17 over. Yeah, he made some nice plays with his all world offense against a group of guys that minus Ross Cockrell, will mostly be in med or law school in a few months. If you want to use it against McCarron, we have to immediately discredit everything Manziel has done as well.

Ogbuechi will not be a top 15 pick. Besides him and Mathews, who else is even draftable? Or in the top 300. Answer: none
Yeah, Manziel definitely has a stud in Matthews and in Evans, but aside from them, he's got nothing.

Joeckel: #2 Overall pick

Matthews: Will be a top 5 pick

Evans: Top 15 pick

Ogbuechi: Will be a 1st round pick

Walker: Mid-late round WR
Wow, that cant be a TD.

That freshman has a cannon.
Ogubehi (sp?) might not even be coming out. He doesn't count. And even if he did, there's still no comparison to what AJ has. Taking nothing away from either of them, you just can't say in an unbiased manner that they have similar support.

Didn't look like it live but good call after review.

Ogbuehi is one of the top 3 or 4 draft eligible OTs easily, and depending on if Robinson declared he very well may be #2 only to Matthews. He's never had worse than tip top tackle protection on either side of him.
Well the Sooners aggressive play calling has kept Bama's defense honest.

Just saw the overhead review and it was the correct call.
KY, even if that's the case he has three good players, while McCarron has an entire team, both offense and defense. But I'm telling you guys, cast doesn't matter! It just inflates stats. It's really not a big deal.

Trevor Knight has looked pretty good so far.

OMG....I didn't realize all of the all stars he has.....is Luke still there? Evans has 141 yards total in the last 3 games. Wow. I bet his stock will go up......Ovbuechi not a top 15 as was stTed earlier....maybe 1st round....probably 2nd. Walker will be picked up in undrafted free agency
