he's a Jeff Garcia with more speed

The Manziel / Joeckel reunion.....

Did anyone see him last year at the NFL draft on the set of ESPN being interviewed? Mel Kiper dwarfed him. He is a tiny guy whose game is based off mobility. The NFL already broke RG3 in half. I don't like Manziels chances. He'll have to change how he plays in order to stay healthy. But will he be as good if he does so?
Manziel is taller than both Wilson and Brees, or at least the same height as Brees, and has the measurables of someone 3-4'' taller than him (hands that dwarf the football, size 15 feet). As far as I'm concerned his measurables are not a problem.

Brees measured 6'0 at the combine. Not a chance in Hades that Manziel measure that tall.

Look at the picture below and keep in mind that Te'o is 6'1

I'm not sure what that proves other than Manziel is 6'. :/

Man, look how much taller and bigger The K State QB looks than Manziel. That really paid off in terms of his NFL effectiveness and career longevity.

We Need a QB that is at least 6'4" and 235#. Oh wait . We already have one in BG. So what was that about size??????????

I don't think his skill set will translate.  I don't care about his height (no way is he 6'0 though).

Hope we pass.  If not, then I hope I'm wrong.  Really hope I'm right and the Texans take him though.

My concern about Manziel isnt his size but his play style.

While it is very entertaining to watch and is successful at the college level, do people really think Manziel will be able to run around and dodge defenders in the NFL as easily?

The pros are a different ballgame where the players are much faster, bigger, and stronger. I am not trying to downplay Manziels talent but I just find it incredibly hard to believe his backyard football style will be successful.

from NFL.com

"An NFL scout told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Manziel has some of the same qualities as the four-time Super Bowl champion.

"He reminds me a little bit of (Joe) Montana. Fluid, and even though he's off-balance he can get the ball out. He's a smaller guy but he has big hands for a little guy. He's fun to watch," the scout said.

Russell Wilson's place among the NFL's most dynamic young quarterbacks is impressive by any standard.
But the Seattle Seahawks' second-year starter is no Johnny Manziel. At least, that's what one NFL scout believes. In a dallasnews.com report about Manziel's potential as a pro, this quote stood above all else:
"If Russell Wilson can take a team to the Super Bowl, Manziel can do all that and more," said the source.

NFL Media analyst and former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah says:
"Studied Manziel today...Escapability against free rushers is the best I've ever seen."

Funny you mentioned this. I was thinking about that comparison myself.

He must not have watched Randall Cunningham from 1987-1990 then.

He's the best I've ever seen regarding escapability against free rushers, even multiple free rushers....

Same here. They play very similarly.

Or Tim Tebow

I hope this is kidding.
He and Tim Tebow are absolutely nothing alike. Like... I guess they're both white? and male? They're both QBs?

Those are all I can think of, at any rate.
