Personally, I think he will run a sub 4.5 forty. Between 4.45 - 4.49, and I wouldn't be shocked if it was close to 4.40

I think of Plummer the way he throws on the run, and maybe Vick a little for the "magic" factor.  In college, Vick would completely blow a play by running it the wrong direction etc., then Houdini his way out of it and end up making a positive out of a broken play.

I'm not going to hold you to that. But just keep in mind he wanted to play for Mack Brown at the university of Texas, and they would only recruit him as a CB. Running a forty between 4.40 - 4.49 is not out of the realm of possibility.

No it is not. Remember the Duke Bowl game at the beginning of the 4th quarter, Texas A&M had driven to the Duke 3 yard line. Anyone who has ESPN GO can verify this. Manziel gets the ball hiked to him at the 9 yard line. Duke's SS Jeremy Cash is shadowing him from just inside the goal line. Manziel takes the snap and bolts directly for the left sideline cone. Cash's line toward the cone is straight. Manziel's is a diagonal from the 9. Manziel beats him there for the TD as both go flying over the barricade. Then runs across the field to pump up the defense. Jeremy Cash runs a 4.59 and has run as low as 4.50. And Johnny had to run farther. There can be no argument. He has great speed with full pads.

Johnny displaying his elite athleticism here.  I think he might be closer to 5 "10" and 185 in this video from last week.  He honestly looks like a junior high school kid.  Also looks like he has a 12 inch vertical and has no accuracy.

I looked it up cause I knew there was no way Gabbert ran a low 4.5 haha thats really fast.

You obviously lack the knowledge of what average means. You cant just change the parameter of his argument.

You're assuming Johnny is going to be a running quarterback in the first place. :/

 

Whatever team drafts him is not going to read  option him into the ground like you're expecting. They're going to run him sparingly. Scrambling and extending plays, which is what Johnny does best, is not the same as running.

This fanbase has become so embarrassing after we got booted from the Bridgewater sweepstakes. Kids here think Manziel is going to be a franchise QB. Texans are going to dominate us for a decade if we took that epic bust in the making.

 

There is no way anyone here that wants him is legally old enough to purchase alcohol in the US. Just no way.

 

And Greece thinks he is going to run a 4.4? Oh dear god this is getting sad.

The main problem is that nothing is certain with him. He can be amazing. He can also be bad. It's just very hard to be sure either way. Regardless, I wouldn't take him at #3 if Clowney and/or Bridgewater are available.

First, what I said wasn't incorrect. I said the Average career for any NFL player was 6 six years. I wasn't just talking about QBs.

 

Second, I will give you 2 "running QBs" (even though I consider Johnny just a very mobile QB) that have lasted more than six years as a productive starter. Steve Young was a running guy coming out of college, and the other guy who was known for scrambling around in the NFL was Fran Tarkenton.

 

So there are your examples. And I could probably find more if I really researched.....how do I know that. Because you said the average career of Running QBs is 6 years....that means there are those that last more than 6 years and some that dont.......thats how you get an AVERAGE.....

I really dont expect the Jaguars to draft a QB in this draft with the #3 pick overall, am I the only one that thinks that?

Nope not at all. And I definitely don't think he will be there in the 2nd round.  My dream Scenario would be to take Clowney and trade back in the first to get Manziel, but I think he is going in top 5 - 10 picks. And maybe even the top 3 picks.

Might move up to the top 3 picks if he has a good combine.......but if he doesn't......look for him to fall some.....I think the chalkboard sessions will be big for him....also, if he comes in at 5'10" and a bit under 200, that may affect his stock as well.....40 time will be important too maybe
