Say Teddy goes one and Rams go Matthews at 2 who would you draft at 3. Bortles is the only other player I think that could raise his stock for us to draft at 3. Bortles has to have a big game tonight and he could be in the talking. But if it comes down to Clowney or Maziel who do you take
Manziel, no question. QB always outweighs a DE of similar ability.
Manziel, we can find a DE in FA (Hardy/Orakpo)
I really like Clowney......and we need a difference maker at DE.....I am torn......if pressed, I'd have to go quarterback.....he touches the ball every play....if the QBs are gone.....then I'm still happy with Clown
Given that choice, I'd go Clowney.

yeah, but we won't....Caldwell has hinted he's going modestly in FA

Good Lord....the Rams are not taking Matthews at 2. Why are so many people suggesting this inane possiblility?

why wouldnt they? if they dont get a good rrade offer who do they take?
I feel like a lot of people want to take a QB just to take one.
I love Johnny, but it would be awfully hard to pass on Clowney. I'd probably go Clowney.

Please. So far he can't even be dominate against Wisconsin not even in one on one situations.
Maybe it's not a big enough game for him to be motivated for.
Clowney is way overhyped.
St. Louis could trade down several spots and still get Mathews. Many of those teams that they could trade with right below us need a QB and will most likely make an offer. St. Louis will take the best offer. That's how I see it.
You lose all credibility when you can't spell Johnny Football's last name. It is Manziel.
I got off the Clowney train as soon as I read he publicly admitted he was a slacker in practice. Players who don't give 100 percent effort every day only care about money and will never reach their potential. The last thing we need is another bust.
I know nothing about Blake Bortles except he is a junior quarterback who has not officially declared yet. Until he declares, I won't think for a minute about how good he is.
The NFL Combine, Pro Days, scouting reports, and draft analysts will determine who I think should be our pick at #3 because I never watch games just to scout players if I don't care who wins.

Right, because typos never happen.

It's hard to dominate against a running team with Huge offensive linemen....not many passing situations in this game for Wis

Because people are too stupid to realize Jake Long will come back from his torn ACL.
But remember we did not need a left tackle and picked Luke Joeckel anyway.
It would make no sense for STL to take Matthews at two. At 3, we won't draft a tackle, so they could easily just swap their pick with the Browns for example who may covet Clowney or whoever and still get Matthews at 4.

I was pointing out the error because the same mistake was made twice. I could give it a pass if it was only done once.
People fall in love way to quick. I'll take Clowney, Manzeil scares me ad a prospect
