Just thought I would start a thread of great albums that are not necessarily famous. Let's all agree that anything by The Beatles is out! I will start the thread off with
Bruce Springsteen, We Shall Overcome - The Seeger Sessions. I think it is Springsteen's only cover album. He plays a lot of folk songs like "Keep your eyes on the prize," "Erie Canal," "Pay me my money down" "Jacob's Ladder" etc. Here is the YouTube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1AuE-LoRe4. Its a phenomenal album with every instruments role carefully inserted.
A friend of mine introduced me to this album and I wanted to share. If anyone else has a good one, please post! Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!
these threads always degenerate into hardcore rap crap or death metal with growling and people acting like its good stuff.
Nature of the Beast, April Wine

Elzhi - Elmatic
It's a remake of Nas' classic illmatic. The production & lyrics are top notch.
Lady Gaga - Art Pop
If you are lucky enough to locate a copy. You are in for a treat.

Yeah, that's a good one. Harder.....Faster... by the same band is also good.
Bob Mould has an album called "Workbook" that I don't think I'll ever stop listening to.

Butthole Surfers - Independent Worm Saloon
Primus - Green Naugahyde
