Well, at the very least we are guaranteed to be able to select one of Bridge, Clowney or Manziel

Does the world still end if the tinhorns take Manziel?

Manziel 2014.
Bridgewater is smaller than Manziel, at least framewise.

Thing is.....his offense and defense came out completely flat......you saw him on the sidelines trying to get his offensive line back up....they were being punished badly......he was on his receivers.....getting them to raise their level......he was as active on the sidelines as he was on the field......if Caldwell picks this guy, I am completely on board........in the meantime, can't wait to see Bortles do his stuff tomorrow against a very good Baylor team

The Texans are going to be really tough with O Brien.
The pressure on them to take Manziel from their local fans is going to be immense.

I can't wait for the draft. We are going to get a GREAT player no matter what

Where do you get this notion O'Brien is the 2nd coming of Bill Belichick?

Quote:I'll give him one thing. He will put butts in those seats and get us some prime-time games, succeed or fail.Agreed. He did the same thing for A&M.
I just heard yesterday that the Aggies were the 3rd most watched college team this year, behind only Bama and Michigan. And I think we all agree that nobodies watching A&M for the colors. Johnny is pulling more tv-time, national recognition, and eyes than entire schools like Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, etc...
People have said for years that Jaguars need 'a face of the franchise'. How about the most famous face in all of football?

If the Texans take Johnny,Clevland trades with the rams for the #2 spot, leaving us with Clowney
01-01-2014, 12:57 AM
Exactly what you guys are saying. We have a shot at one of three supremely talented players, each at a position of need. This is one of the few drafts where I would NOT trade down our first pick under any circumstances.

I've thought all along he would be a top 15 pick. I don't think he gets past us at #3 now. First three picks in some kind of order will be Bridgewater, Clowney, Manziel.

Or Bridge goes first, whoever trades with the Rams for Manziel, then we still end up with Clowney at 3....
Clowney at 3 seems the most likely.

Clowney at 3 seems the most likely.
Shoot man, I want Manziel

Yeah.....can't believe Washington could only win 3 games with their talent....the Rams will screw us

I wouldn't say under ANY circumstances....
If say, the team at 4 wanted to flip picks with the Jags at 3 so they could take Clowney and give us a 2nd + a 4th to do so, I might take it....and then you still get Barr at 4.
