Now that we know where the team is picking. I have 3 scenarios for how I feel it will play out. I think Bridgewater and Clowney will go #1 and #2 overall in all of my scenarios.

Scenario #1:

1. Jake Matthews - OT

2. Jeremiah Attaochu - OLB/LEO

3. Anthony Steen - OG (convert to center)

4. Taj Boyd - QB

4. David Fluellen - RB

5. Louis Young - CB

5. Jacob Pederson - TE

6. Marquis Spruill - LB (could probably play weak, middle, and strong)

7. Tim Jackson - DT/DE

Scenario #2 (Assuming Manziel falls to #17 or below):

1. Jake Matthews - OT

1. Johnny Manziel - QB (trade 2nd and a 4th rounder to select 17-22 overall)

3. Anthony Steen - OG (convert to center)

4. David Fluellen - RB

5. Louis Young - CB

5. James Gayle - DE

6. Ted Bolser - TE

7. Tim Jackson - DT/DE

Scenario #3 (Assuming we trade #3 pick to Saint Louis and they draft Jake Matthews in exchange for 1st and 2nd round picks and a 1st next year as well...that's right St. Louis gets Clowney and Matthews in the same draft.)

1. #13 overall - Johnny Manziel - QB

2. Jeremiah Attaochu - OLB/LEO

2. Craig Loston - S

3. Anthony Steen - OG (convert to center)

4. Justin Britt - OT

4. David Fluellen - RB

5. Louis Young - CB

5. Jacob Pederson - TE

6. Marquis Spruill - LB (could probably play weak, middle, and strong)

7. Tim Jackson - DT/DE

Yeah drafting an RT top 3 will be very unpopular not to mention really dumb since we have more dire needs.

It definitely would be very unpopular. However, I just feel the talent in the top three (specifically Clowney and Matthews) is much higher than anything else in the draft that you just can't pass on one of those guys unless you trade. That's just my personal opinion though.

I'm not going to bash you, but what is your reasoning for drafting a Right Tackle so high?  I don't see Matthews as far and away the best player available.  I think he's as good of a prospect as a couple other guys.

Dave just said during the press conference this morning he sees Pasztor as the starting RT going into next year. I think out of all the first round scenarios taking an OT is the one we can safely cross off.

Matthews may also not end up being the top LT prospect if Greg Robinson of Auburn declares.
Do we really have to do this all over again? We went through 5 months of explaining why you take Joekel/Fisher at 2 last year. Joekel and Matthews played together at A&M and guess what? They both didn't play LT at the same time.

Imagine if they did though!  We could have a 13'1" 660 lb LT that just crushes the opposition.
Drafting Matthews that high would be completely stupid.

I think I like #2 out of the three.  But it also would be nice to get Boyd in the 4th.  I don't see the big deal with drafting a RT.  We can trade Joekel mid season for a 4th and a 5th and move Matthews to the left.

If they draft Mathews (or any O-lineman) at 3, I will be diving off the Caldwell bandwagon.  Too much pass rushing talent, and a couple of good QBs (if Bortles declares).

I think he is by far the best player remaining, once Bridgewater and Clowney are gone. I also think he is not a normal RT to take at #3. He spent most of his college career at RT since Joeckel was the LT at A&M. And he has the bloodline! (I realize bloodlines don't count for much).

Honestly, I think he would be a top 3 OT (left or right) after his first year in the league. And I am hoping after the senoir bowl we will be in better position for scenario #3. And though I put St. Louis as our ideal trade. There are alot of teams that could make that move (i.e Falcons, Bills, etc)

I think Mack is just as good of a prospect.  We don't have a glaring hole at RT either.  I think getting Bortles in over Henne or Mack in over Hayes (or in the LEO spot) would be much more beneficial to the team than getting Matthews over Pasztor.
This isn't like last year when we just had Monroe. We have a good option at RT in Pastor. Attaochu is a major reach in round two alspo

I.cant even...are you serious about trading Luke? Yeah let's spend the number two pick from last season who is showing promise and in his 2nd year of his contract for a 4th and 5th..my gosh

I disagree. But you could very well be right.

I just think our O-line is far superior and probably one of the top 5 units in the NFL by the end of 2014 with this line up (left to right):

Joeckel, Nwaneri, Steen, Pasztor, Matthews

Left tackles are no laughing matter. I would never joke about that.
It's cool that you mention Pederson. He played High School for a school not far from me. Their high school is known throughout the state because they are one of the few teams in the nation that run a Single Wing offense.

Here is a touchdown PASS thrown to Pederson in the State Championship from the single wing (unique because the Single Wing does not have a quarterback).

I like Pederson alot. I just hope he isn't taken in the 4th or before our 2nd 5th. I would like to land either him or Bolser at some point in the draft as our TE.

It's crazy that is even a discussion, to be honest. No players from this area ever go Pro. It is extremely rare for anyone to even go Division 1.
