I don't think I have the stomach to read through this entire thread, but I had zero problems with Fisch's playcalling yesterday.
I have no issues with Fisch's playcalling, it's the players underperforming yesterday that gets under my skin.
- The pass to Sanders on Fourth down was wide open due to the design when pretty much everyone knew that the team was going to have a slant and out combination out of that cluster formation. Henne just missed the pass.
- He got Marcedes in single coverage versus a safety and he was open with no one within about 15 yards of him late in the first half. Again, I feel as if you can lay the blame for this on Henne for not taking advantage of the situation.
- He got Sanders open again on the edge, but Henne missed the pass and threw it over his head.

Quote:I agree, Bradley won't fire him, or any of his assitants for that matter. He's too loyal, IMO. Were stuck with an overwhelmingly bad assistant staff. There might be 2 or 3 actual keepers on the entire staff. He's too loyal? The guy has only been a HC one year, you dont know that much about him plz stop

I didn't make the definitive statement of "he's too loyal". I said thats the vibe I get. Thats my opinion for how I see him operating as this all plays out.

The vibe we get is that you, TMD, are a negative nancy

I won't deny that I have been conditioned to have a negative outlook regarding this franchise. 14 years of mostly bad decisions and bad football will do that to a person.

His persona, what he preaches to the team and the kind of players coach he is. I think relationships are important to him, and committment is important to him. While these are all noble traits, they can be a curse if you hired some of the wrong assistants to begin with because he'll be sticking with people that aren't good enough.

"I've been conditioned" The Jaguars have made him this way...
If they are so abusive to you why don't you go "be a fan" of another team.
I heard the wagon is plenty empty over there for the Houston "tankers"

I think Fisch is creative enough to intrigue you but not efficient enough to get the job done.

But at this point, you don't know whether he hired the wrong assistants because the roster was so depleted.
It's the day after his first season ended.

While this may be true for some of the position coaches....
I disagree regarding the Coordinators, Babich and Fisch. They are and were weak hires. Babich's resume has mediocrity at DC in the past, even with talent, when he was with the Bears.
and Fisch bounced around the college ranks as he was unable to keep consistent work.

You know one day, just maybe you can work that cash register and leave the bagging duties in the dust if you play it right!

Yes, this reads like someone that did a real good job in the college ranks....

From what nether regions of your rear end did you pull this gem?

Fisch had three jobs in college. He was a GA at UF, QB Coach at Minnesota and OC at Miami. Either you don't know what bouncing around means or you don't understand how colllege coaching works. I am guessing a little of both.

Those assuming that Bradley will not fire Fisch or any other coaches out of "loyalty" are doing so blindly, IMO. I see no reason to believe Bradley/Caldwell wouldn't shake up the staff a bit if they perceive a weakness.
I doubt Fisch gets the axe - but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. You have a staff put together by a couple of first timers and they may not hit home runs on every hire. I think they are both wise enough to correct a mistake when and if they've made one.
