QB fears?? Not at all. But if Teddy isn't sitting there at our pick then why reach for a QB (of the leftovers) at our 1st round pick when you can get a similar ability QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds? It makes more sense to get the most value out of the draft, not take a QB in the 1st round for the sake of doing so.

Carr & Bortles are no better than some of the QB candidates that will be there in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I would confidently predict that no QB in this draft outside of the Teddy/Carr/Bortles trio wins a Super Bowl in their career.
QB purgatory or worse QBs after them.
Hundley could prove me wrong if he magically puts it together he does have some franchise QB talent in him, but his flaws are far worse than Carr or Bortles.
Garoppolo has shown some potential too but he is a very very longshot too.

Bortles is about a mid 1st rounder. Carr is overrated as hell. He looks like Gabbert. Drops too deep, has no accuracy and terrible footwork. He was exposed.

Dude one game means very very little in the scouting process. You sound like Gene Smith. "I went to scout the Iowa QB but I couldn't take my eyes off of the Missouri QB." Unfortunately for the Jags that one game was literally the only game where Blaine actually looked like a franchise QB prospect (even though he threw two bad INTs in that game too). He was a hot mess in almost all of his other cutups.
Flip that to Carr and you are taking the one game where he didn't look like a franchise QB prospect and laterally assessing that to the rest of his games, to your own fault I should add. Other than footwork issues (which he has improved a lot this year) he is absolutely nothing like Gabbert. At all. Carr is easily one of the most accurate QBs in the draft (especially deep). Dead giveaway that you haven't watched many of his games if you are knocking his accuracy.
Lastly, I don't even know what the heck 'drops too deep' means. That's just what the offense he plays in calls for, and it has literally zero to do with a prospect evaluation.

No, deep drops extend the length of your throw and put you at risk to blitzers that have already been pushed outside by the tackles. It hurts your vision and makes it very difficult to step into throws. It also throws off the timing of the routes and makes it more difficult to be on target in short and intermediate timing patterns. Dead giveaway that you don't know what you're talking about.

Drops are determined on a per play basis based on route progressions and protection assignments. Carr is dropping back however many steps the play calls for. The only two players I want are Bridgewater or Clowney.

If an athlete can be convinced or talked into holding back, I'd be worried about his commitment. Having said that, I'd take Clowney #1.
Sometimes, people are so paranoid and knee-jerked about the qb situation it's depressing to me. People who's saying that it's a forgone conclusion that we're get a defensive end is not letting the offseason play out before making these evaluations. In free agency we might get brian orakpo because the redskins might not resign or franchise tag him or another free agent defensive end who can fit our scheme. I can see the scenario where we trade up to get bridgewater because they might want to go the veteran qb route in free agency and get someone like clowney in round 1 and taji boyd in round 2. This is sad that people on here want someone like AJ McCarron at qb and at the same time want to bash alex smith for being a game manager.
I really hope Hundley stays in college another year. I watched him a lot and never saw anything that screamed 1st round draft pick. Hundley is a project. You don't draft a project at #2 or #3 and hope you can fix the flaws.

I think I agree with both points.
Heres hoping we get the 2nd overall.
PLUS, Clowney getting most of the atttention combined with the improvement of Andre Branch could allow for Branch to uptick to double digit QB sacks himself next year.
I'd like one of Bridgewater, Clowney, Barr, or Mack with our first round selection. I'd be happy with any of those guys.
Bridgewater will bust, hopefully in Houston.
