Not saying Bridgewater will be a bust but his size is a huge concern. He's really, really skinny. Other than Vick (who gets hurt alot), I can't think of a QB in the NFL that thin.

Quote:Bridgewater will bust, hopefully in Houston.
1. Barr
2. Clowney
3. Mack
4. Matthews
It is amazing. GM's work their way up by being scouts for years and years amongst other positions that will eventually elevate them to their dream jobs, yet the entire time, all they had to do was read your message board post that Bridgewater will bust and all of the scientific facts and thorough clinical research you obviously put into your statement.
Who knew there was a shortcut the entire time that all 32 GM's were missing?

No argument here. Its his one "flaw" if you will....
But the way the other guy said it, he made it sound like Bridgewater "the QB" would bust. Theres nothing wrong with Bridgewater's actual game.

Step 1
raft Clowney in the first.
Step 2: Grab Dom Easley in the third (if he falls that far)- immediately put him on IR to get right.
Step 3: Beau Allen in the fifth.
Step 4: Resign Marks.
Step 5: Enjoy!

I agree but I am pretty sure that other poster is trolling too.

Have you seen Mike Glennon? Dude looks like a toothpick but takes a sack very well.
I still want Bridgewater over any QB in the draft. In fact he's the only QB I want in the first round.

Brady was, kaep is actually really skinny too (mostly muscle but very thin frame.) foles is pretty skinny.... Just a quick few off the top of my head.

Bridgewater has the smallest frame of any of the examples you provided....and Glennon is like 6' 7".
Bridgewater looks 6' 1" at best. (I know he's "listed" at 6' 3". )

As far as Bridgewater goes, I think he is neck and neck with Bortles. The difference, in my opinion, is that Bridgewater is going to need a ready made offense with good receivers to thrive. He might have a little more upside than Bortles if given top end receivers and decent time in the pocket. Bortles will thrive no matter where he goes. Bortles has the same accuracy as Bridgewater with less arm, but his legs have a knack for breaking down defenses and making plays. Bridgewater runs like Leftwich would if he could run a 4.5.

Foles was measured at 6'5 240 at the combine.

Tom Brady, about four posts down. Height has nothing to do with a skinny frame. So idk why you're throwing that out there. Also weight and frame are different things. I agree teddy has a skinny frame. So does Brady, so does glennon, Brady has proven to be quite durable. Undoubtedly when he hits the NFL teddy will put on some muscle.

Yeah, not sure why he is even included in this convo.
Physically, (buildwise) Bridgewater compares very similar to Michael Vick.

Height only has something to do with it on a relative basis.
If a QB was 6'5 and 200 lbs, its pretty obvious that his frame is much smaller than a QB 6'6" and 245 lbs.

clinical research? So GM's are now responsible for the medical aspects of the draft lol. I think you mean empirical research

Quote:Barr is more versatile, Clowney is harder to block one on one and has a higher ceiling. It's a tough decision. It's a tough decision only until you look at Clowney's red flags and lack of motivation then it's not so tough anymore.
Clowney is too much of a gamble for a top 5 pick.
I'd take Bridgewater, Mack, Barr, Watkins all before taking the bust that will be clowney...Yes...Bust....But, But...Didn't you see his highlights? LOL.

I have a question. Do we still have a shot at the #2 pick? I heard on 1010XL that Washington's strength of schedule will be lower than ours so that if the Skins win and we lose, we would still pick 3rd or 4th......is that true? If Clowney is there, I say pick him. Gus will turn him into a monster.

Clowney over bridgey all day everyday, Carr if bridgey and clowney are gone.

I desperately want a QB but in this class its clearly Teddy and then everyone else. Hes far ahead of everyone and the Texans are going to draft him. so my thoughts are why reach on Bortles or Carr? Take Clowney or Barr and get Fales in the 2nd. No looking back.
