I want to win the next game vs the Titans, at least.

Theorhetically, top picks is supposed to give you better chance. But a good GM will pick good players whether where the draft position is. With Gene Smith, does it really matter where his draft position is?

Huh?

Great point. Had not considered that.
I've been fine with a loss since... week 4.  It'd be nice if our wins came against teams who were showing a bit more than what we've seen.  We've had improvement.  But you don't need wins to see improvement.  I still feel our best game was against the Broncos -- and we lost that one.

Really, I just want to see our opponents give it their all.  I want to see this team beat a team that's giving it 110%.

must beat the tacks and clots Just win baby :teehee:

Yes.

I want the team to win. I want the Players to win by executing their plays, and getting the absolute most that they possibly can out of their athletic/football potential.

Then I want the Front Office to win by picking great players that fit in with the culture and philosophy of the team.

After that, I want the Coaching Staff to win by examining and realizing the strengths, weaknesses, and abilities of each player and put each of them in the best possible position to succeed.

Edited for spelling since I don't type good.

Quote:I want the top prospect, it expedites the rebuilding process. I think we'll lose to both Titans and Colts and will be drafting 2nd in the 2014 NFL draft.
Of course I want the top prospect, and I do kind of feel like the Tacks will take us more seriously this time. And our defense was playing way over their heads (especially for turnovers), don't know how it will shake out. Feel like we might beat the Tacks, and I think the Colts will still be trying in week 17, so we will probably lose that one.

Edit: For clarity, I want a top draft pick and to win. I didn't really make that clear.

Beating the tacks and c'lots would be awesome!!!! I'll worry about our draft position after the season
Of course I want the Jags to win any time they take the field.  That's what fans should expect.

Yes

Quote:No it's not, I understand where you're coming from but winning and improving are two separate entities. I feel this team improved against the Bills yesterday, especially considering the absence of CSIII, Cyprien, Will Rackley etc.. We were competitive against a talented team in Buffalo, it didn't translate to win, but it doesn't mean we didn't improve.

Winning and improving can be two separate things, but winning usually results from improvement, so it's pretty hard to continue improving and also continue losing.

Same old losers with the same old argument. Still trying to convince all the fans with half a brain that losing is a good thing.

It's a very special brand of stupid.

We have some "special" fans though. They don't want any part of winning. This thread and it's OP are proof of that.
It's funny. I cannot root for us to lose. Even now. But if we do, as long as we are showing improvement, I feel good about that and the better draft position.
Never, ever play to lose....and no true fan would pull for a team to do that.

Sure, I would like to win especially with it being the tacks and clots but, if we lose it really doesn't mean a thing at this point in the season.

Just no more injuries and give Gus and the staff a chance to evaluate more young players for next year.

.....in the words of Bum Phillips "One year ago, we knocked on the door. This year, we beat on the door. Next year, we're going to kick the son of a gun (edit for language) in.

I think that that's the way our 2014,2015 and 2016 will be.

Go Jags!
Win! and Win some more.

Regards................the Chiefjag

Doesn't matter, we won't win with how beat up we are.

And I'm indifferent to that. I want Clowney in a Jags uniform in September if the Texans take Bridgewater

I have never heard of a person rooting for his team to lose.  Just does not make sense to me.

I tell you this message board has serious problems.

(The Jags lose)

-Complain this person and that person should be fired or replaced

(The Jags start to win)

-Complain the team is doing too good and it's costing us draft stock.

just another day on the jaguars message board :teehee:

Everything about this post is perfection.

Can't wait for next year!  Though I'm pretty excited about this Sunday too.  I think there would be a Heavens Gate situation in tacks land if we swept them!  Anyone that lives there should stay away from any kool aid come next Monday!!!

Go Jags!
