In other words, you don't really think we should trade for Ryan Mallett and just want to drive people nuts.

Tell me the truth. What do you see in Mallett that makes you think he should move to Jacksonville?
Peter king on football night in America said he believes Johnny football is a sure first round pick and the best place for him would be Jacksonville with their imaginative offense......take that for what it is
Interesting video on his offseason training. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsJJSEDISbo

Truth? I just like to drive people nuts.. Is it working?
I would rather just draft Connor Shaw in the 6th round.

If you don't really want Johnny Manziel to be our next quarterback, anything you say that indicates otherwise is a big fat lie. So tell me the truth: Do you want Manziel to be a Jaguar?
I don't see what all the hype with Manziel is. The man is magical, but magic only exists in college football. NFL is all about consistency and perfecting technique. These come with the ability to grasp concepts, discipline and hard work. I don't believe Manziel will translate well.

Nobody seems to be talking about the thumb he injured at the end of the Miss. State game on November 9th. He downplays it but it's quite swollen. Try throwing accurate passes with a swollen thumb. He has other nagging injuries as well from doing things that won't be required of him. He should be pretty much healed by the bowl game. I'll reserve judgement till then but I watched his early games before Auburn (shoulder injury), and I was quite impressed. Also, both Aikmen and Bree's think that his skill set translates well to the NFL. And they know a little bit about quarterbacking. If Caldwell picks him, Carr or Bridgewater early in the 1st.....I have no problem.

This. Caldwell has earned my trust. Whoever he picks, even if it's a non-QB or a QB I don't like, I will be supportive.
Manziel fanboys are just as annoying and difficult to reason with as the Tebow crowd of yesteryear. Zero pocket presence, below-average arm, bad attitude, terrible footwork and he was largely the product of his exceptional surrounding talent. Don't give me that just wins crap either. His team is currently 8-4 and in a mediocre bowl against Duke. Hard pass.

Last night I had a dream (nightmare?) that we drafted Johnny.

Just an FYI: two years ago, I dreamed we drafted Justin Blackmon a couple weeks before the draft.

Take that for what it's worth..

Truth or Dare?
Manziel with Mike Evans drool... hook them back up with Joeckel and add MJD / Shorts / Blackmon / Lewis (The one that plays all games and catches balls, the one year he did so) and oh man.

Yes I know there's no way of getting Manziel and Evans unless you had two high first round draft picks.

Could you explain the case for Ryan Mallett? Because I've seen this idea multiple times and I just don't get it.

Quote:Sure.. He sat behind Tom Brady for a long time, hopefully learning.. And he's not Gabbert or Henne... That's all I got..

He was a very interesting prospect right out of college- with great size and a great arm.  Many Jags fans here had high hopes of seeing him in Teal.  I really thought he would have been a starter by now, but this is what happens when you get drafted to learn behind Brady or Manning.
