Quote:If M. Lee doesn't ease the concerns you touched on both the draft, it's possible he could be a version of what Keenan Allen was this year in terms of a WR dropping because of speed and injury concerns. At least for now, it looks like the Chargers got a steal as a result.
That's actually a very good comparison. They both have that sort of lean-ish build about them, but solid hands and solid speed. It'll be interesting what happens. I could easily see your Lions taking him or one of the other receivers (maybe Robinson from PSU). To complement some guy named Calvin (heard he's pretty ok).

Thanks.
The Lions need a long term solution opposite Calvin Johnson. It could easily be the # 1 need for the team going into the Draft. Nate Burleson will be 33 next year. There's no other WR on the Lions roster that has demonstrated that he can be remotely close to a very good solution for the # 2 WR spot on the team.
I mentioned this in another mock draft thread a few weeks ago but it comes to mind here as well. The Lions need a Titus Young type of WR without the massive baggage. If Young had good football character, he would still be with the team and likely would be thriving. It turned into a huge mistake by Martin Mayhew for taking Titus Young instead of Torrey Smith or Randall Cobb.

You guys might snag one of the LSU receivers, they're hard workers, and good as well.

This could easily turn into the type of draft that there's enough depth at WR that it will lead some teams to pass on a WR in Round 1. With those teams feeling confident they can find good value at WR in Round 2.
The Rams don't run a 3-4.

You are correct. With Chris Long and Robert Quinn two of the most impactful DE's in the NFL, the Rams likely will look to upgrade their Offense, if they end up with and keep a very high pick.
Browns might stick with Hoyer
Quote:Browns might stick with Hoyer
At the very least, the Browns probably will want to retain Brian Hoyer on their roster at least one more season. If Hoyer would have stayed relatively healthy, the way he was playing the Browns could easily have been in the thick of the AFC playoff race if Hoyer continued to play on that level
My guess is the Browns will look for a QB with more upside than Hoyer as their long term solution. If that's the case, the question then becomes do they keep pick # 7, hoping a QB drops to them like the way Kodiak's first mock draft turned out. Or do they proactively use some or all of their draft currency they acquired in trades to move up to take a specific QB that they like???
Im betting we pick between 7-11
I think there's tooo many offensive Skill positions going to early in this draft. while the Offensive talent of this draft is really showing, It's looking more and more like the defensive side of the ball has quite a bit smaller talent pool, or maybe it's just how the drafts are now a days, but I wouldn't be suprised if the rams pull a shocker and take the Best saftey in the draft with the 2nd pick then come back and grab their WR later in the draft, considering they have been getting horrible saftey play all year, and the drop off in skill between HaHa and the next guy is projected to be quite a ways.
Also I think there will be more Qb's in the top of this draft with the Qb needy teams than you have drafted atm, but I do understand there will be FA season and everything and maybe someone takes it. Also Mettenburger will be probably too high, and i think that the browns try and find a phillip river's style Qb than a Manzeil, they tried that with colt McCoy and it didnt' work out and they'll probably still be left with that sour taste in their mouths.
Also all signs look like bortles is coming out this year and he'll probably be a 1st round pick as well. Jags, sir, please ... bortles.... please...

They don't? Oh. Awkward.
Well, regardless, I think everyone wants a Von Miller - esque rush LB these days.
Nice work Kodiak.
I like the Jags pick and hope we stay at that spot. That being said, Clowney still sitting there is huge for DC. FA will help DC if we pick up Orakpo or Hardy with Clowney sitting there, but QB has priority.
I honestly think we pick outside of the top 5 and if we do i will just have to wait for your Mock 2.0

Thanks, man. Yeah, I'll probably make another one right after the end of the season to account for draft order, and then one after the Combine and pro days to account for all that other stuff.
I can see NE grabbing one of those WRs that fall in the draft.
at the rate of gronk getting hurt they'll take two TE's
If we dont get one of: Teddy, Carr, Clowney, Barr, or Mack ill be really upset.
If those guys are gone ill hope for either Sutton or Nix (havent watched either but the combination of them + marks will be nasty.)

Sutton and Marks are both 3 techs. Nix would be the guy if we go DT, we need a NT. Hopefully he comes back strong from that injury.
If Ebron falls to the Pats, I don't see them passing him up

Yeah like I said I didnt really watch either of those two guys, Thinking about it I think it might be better to not take a DT in the first and grab Easley if he slips to the 2nd because of his injury. As we've seen the rehab these days can return most guys to their old level of play even after an ACL. Not sure how many examples weve seen in defensive lineman though, but in other positions lots of players retained their explosiveness. .

Likely, they are going to try and trade back unless they are giving up on Bradford.
