Quote:If you watch the highlight of Sanders' Touchdown throw, you'll see Swearenger come over to try and defend the pass. When he doesn't get there he hits his knees and slides. Looks like he must have slid a good two to three yards on the play. That might indicate that the sod was rather slick last night. Was it very humid last night? I wasn't at the game so I have to ask.
Very humid. A lot of people don't realize we're in a hole next to the river in North Florida. So maybe they were just slipping due to it being wet.
Quote:You guys realize that AJ has been doing this for awhile? He is one of the best to play the game. The field was wet last night and he took advantage of that. We got little pass rush last night so What do you expect when 3/4 of the secondary has played 1-2 seasons? Serious question; is Evans better than Guy? Guy didn't look terrible but didn't really look amazing either. I haven't seen Evans play this year. Don't have the NFL package

Evans has been our regular starter at that position since Dwight Lowery suffered a concussion at Seattle and you have not seen him? Who do you think #26 is?
I know most on this board were at the game last night, but the broadcast team was talking about how Cyprien had struck a friendship with Kam Chancellor at Gus Bradley's egging. Certainly not a bad mentor for the position.

Most on this board were not at the game last night. The stadium was so empty I was surprised it was not blacked out.

Well it was the best attended game of the year and it looked to be to be pretty full and even if there were 42k like in 2009, the majority of this board are diehards that go to the games.
They had all day to throw. I'll take Clowney please

Oh

Then you need to root for the Falcons because their biggest need in the draft is defensive end.

I am leaning against Clowney because of reports he publicly admitted to being a slacker in practice.

I saw more empty seats last night than I did all year.

That's the thing about Gus though. He makes guy WANT to play up to their potential.

I am sure David Caldwell knows quarterback is more important than defensive end ATM, so if both Clowney and Bridgewater are available, he should pick Bridgewater. We can't pick both players with only one first round pick.

Were you at the game?

I was at home and saw literally thousands of empty seats on TV.
Obviously you weren't because the stadium was roaring last night. I'm going on a limb to say that last nights game had the biggest attendence this year...

literally
Back when I bought my half pack in the summer, I knew this would be a hard fought game (it usually is) and I certainly didn't expect the kind of season we would have. I've done the Thursday night games before and I'm just too worn out. Last night aftee the game I hit the bed and just passed out.........I'd have never made the drive home after a game like we had. Long day at work. lol.

That's why I opted for the bills game.....wanted to see "Poz's revenge" Ninja

hoping to afford a full season next year.

GO JAGS!

Why didn't it look close to full on TV?

I chose the Bills game because of Mark Brunell and did not think once about Poz playing against his former team again. He already did that last year.

After seeing blowout after blowout, you would have been miserable with season tickets.
Quote:This. I can't believe the way he's getting roasted. They threw the ball 60 times, so they're going to put up some gaudy numbers. Last year everyone was in love with Derek Cox and Andre nearly put 300 on him. I thought he, along with the rest of the secondary did very well for the most part.

I think Gratz has played remarkably well for a rookie this year. And you make an excellent point with the above. Maybe some folks should go back and watch the first 15 games of Cox's career, which included many torchings and a benching.
