Fred Taylor

Boselli

Jimmy Smith

Donovan Darius

Greg Jones

MJD

Gotta be Boselli.  He was the best at his position for several years and probably one of the best of all time as well.

Quote:I remember seeing a quick one-liner during warm-ups before the 1999 62-7 game from Aaron Beasley, it wasn't shown til later, but he said he dreamt he was gonna pick Dan off twice, and he did, one on Dan's first pass. Dan threw 2 picks before his first completion, although I can't remember if Beasley got both of them or if he got one later in the game.

Loved Aaron Beasley. I was 11 and saw that game in the stadium too, which is unfortunately why I still watch these jokers!

Tony Brackens is in that same tier of outstanding and underrated players.

That's a good illustration of the impact Aaron Beasley had.  Especially,  considering the magnitude of the game being that it was in the playoffs against a legendary QB ( though at the end of his career ) and the most successful NFL HC in the 1990's.

Tony Brackens is probably the measuring stick for Jaguars edge rushers,   One of the key factors that's held the Jaguars back is the team hasn't found the next Tony Brackens over an extended period of time.

Quote:Boselli was probably the best player we have ever had, but I don't care. My vote goes to Fred Taylor. The guy was just friggin awesome. He could blow past defenders with his 4.3 speed, run them over with his 6' 230 lb frame or juke them out of their jockstraps. Plus he mentored a great, albeit not quite as awesome, replacement in MJD.

There will never be another Fred Taylor.
Yes, and agreed, affirmative. Yup!

If only Harry Colon could've left us for Green Bay. He would've been the quintessential packer.

The sad thing is Harry Colon had a career ending neck injury in his 2nd stint with the LIons.   A very scary moment for a team that had far too many moments like that in the 1990's.

Did not know this, feel really bad for the guy now actually.

The good news is Harry Colon recovered from the neck injury and apparently has been able to do all normal activities in life.

Harry Colon went on to become a High School football coach in Houston.

The following two articles combined discuss the neck injury and Colon going on to coaching:
