Hope it's a sea of purple in there Sunday. That owner is trying the customers who support his product but yet they haven't won a game in almost a calendar year. Been trash the whole four years he's been there and continue to put out there this incompetent coach who is clearly a disease to the rest of the workers under him. And then it's always this threat from people around the organization of if you don't support and sit in this sun while spending hundreds of dollars then they'll eventually leave. We'll haul [BLEEP] then buddy because passive threats or direct ones I don't do well. Nobody else who has showed up each Sunday shouldn't either. Only a NFL team would hold that over the supporters/fans' heads because they can't produce at least a decent product at minimum to watch. He won't even get in front of a camera and address this atrocity to the folks wondering what the hell is going on.
If I was in Jacksonville they would have to pay me to attend that game.I already knew the offense didn't have a chance against that defense.  It was over before it began.

You think it was bad last Sunday... wait until the meaningless game on Christmas Eve.   I practically guarantee that stadium will be a ghost town.   Out of the 20 or so of us who tailgate together every week.  4 are still planning to go to that game.  The rest of us will be enjoying the holiday with friends and/or family.   I can't imagine that our group is the only one who will find better things to do on Christmas eve than attend a meaningless game in a lost season.

Well the good news is that our fragile team won't have to hear any boos since no one will be in the stands.

Yup. I think you'll see this a lot that weekend, especially on home games for the bad teams. But this team especially.
I dumped all my tickets after the TN game.  When we failed to fire Gus after that lunacy the season was over for me and there are far too many other more entertaining and less painful things I could be doing in North Florida than going to the stadium and watching us fail.

Don't get me wrong, I am a native Floridian and a Jags fan.  We just suck so bad that it makes more sense to go for an early round of golf and get back to the house a little after 1pm.  Then I open I pint that I paid $0.75 for rather than $7.50.  Fire up the DVR and catch up on the game.  Usually by the third quarter I have to switch to Tequila to dull the pain but I get through the games.  It just does not cost me $150 in drinks at the stadium to do it.  Wink

Quote:Kind of the boat I am in to be honest. As I have gotten older, priorities have kind of changed, and with the current state and greed of the NFL and ref bias against smaller market teams just kind of adds fuel to the "I don't care" fire.

The odds are so stacked against teams like us having success, it is kind of a lost cause.

Hey, whatever excuse works for you.

Oh, woe is me - they're all out to get me! It's rigged!

Please.
Nobody wants the Jags to move, but what does the team expect after years and years of garbage football?  People aren't just going to keep going to watch that.

They at least want a team that has the occasional chance to win a few games....our team can't go on a win streak to save their lives.

Don't worry - if you lived here I wouldn't imagine you'd go to a game.

Just another "fan" who likes to [BLEEP] and moan from afar.
I'll be out of town for the Vikings game, but I will be at the Gus send off game.

I still like going to games, but the culture of the team has to change.

Guess it makes sense being Florida, a lot of people have moved here and support the Jaguars until they play the their hometown team. So a Jag fan becomes a squealer, donk, cheeser  or whatever fan.

Poor me.....I'm just just a poor "Jags fan."

Try being a Jags fan in Steeler Country... It's pretty brutal.

At one point, they stopped even cracking jokes and picking on me.

Now it's just constant pity.
Whoa Diz....that sounds tough.

Once upon a time the Jags would go up there and beat them.

In the 14 seasons I've participated here or an earlier version of the Forum,  the high point for Jaguars fans seemed to be the 2 wins in Pittsburgh in the 2007 season.  With some of the other games in the 2nd half of that season close in terms of fan excitement and optimism.     Even with the Patriots going for perfection,   there was legit optimism amongst a large number of Jaguars fans that the team would go to the Super Bowl.   They gave the Patriots a major battle before falling short.

They're big fat phony losers and suck. When Con wants to dump dopey Gus, we'll start winning. Fans will be back in about ten years if we start winning.
