Who, besides myself, would rather have the occasional pop up ad instead of having to pay to read their news. I have stopped going to the site altogether.

I have stopped going myself. Can get local news through other means anyhow, for free at that.
I understand why they are doing it though.
I get my news from this guy
I'm certainly not paying for stuff I can get for free from plenty of other sources.

Are you trying to throw another one over the plate? Because right now, I see the ball just left the pitchers hand and I'm wanting to knock it out of the park.
The Times-Union is no good anyways. I stopped going there too. The paper, which is the only major daily print source in a metro area with a population closing in on 1.5 million is smaller then my hometown paper which is a metro area of 200,000. There is hardly anything good in it anyways. Metrojacksonvile.com and Jax business journal are much better then the Times-Union.

I'm a girl...I'd NEVER have to pay for that!

I love metrojax! You can find out what's going on around the city way faster there than just about anywhere else!

Yea, I was at the TEDx conference a few weeks ago and Stephen Dare and company were blogging the event live. I got home a read what they wrote and they were spot on including the sentiments of the crowd.
