Before any SEC homers try and crucify me over this. Watching closely the games of Baylor, Ohio State and (especially) Florida State, and then watching games from Alabama....specifically in the last two weeks. It doesn't look like this Alabama team matches up with any of them. Mississippi State barely lost to them with a backup QB and the 3rd string playing down the stretch....and missing an easy field goal....and dropping 2 or 3 pick-sixes.
EDIT: By #4 I mean, the fourth best undefeated team. I definitely don't think they'll actually drop below #2.
Now personally, I prefer to see things played out, but ohio state doesn't pass the eye test. Baylor, bama and FSU do.
yes you're the only one, they're not dropping unless they lose
Quote:yes you're the only one, they're not dropping unless they lose
And even if they drop without a loss due to some wacky BCS computing math, they'll end up #2.

So if Auburn beats them, they'll only drop to #2? Oh, that's right. Only in the SEC can you get rewarded for losing a game.
When do the playoffs start in College football? I hate the BCS keeps me from getting into it.

I said if they drop
without a loss. But if they lose it's up to the BCS and that whole weird system to decide where they end up.

Next year!

Ah, my mistake. Read over it too fast.
probably, if there is an overranked team in the top 10 its the buckeyes.

Working on two consecutive undefeated seasons. Not when there are 1 and 2 loss teams in the top 10. Delusional much?

who did they beat this season, they have no signature win. the ranked teams they beat, barely beat, are now unranked.

Unranked because they aren't in the SEC where you can still be ranked with a loss. Northwestern was #15 when they played. What happens to the opponent after the match is not TOSU's fault. They handed northwestern their first loss.

Stanford lost to two un ranked teams. How are they deserving to be ranked in the top 10?
Wisconsin is still ranked btw. But do go on with your TOSU hatred.

lol the same northwestern who has lost 6 in a row who they barely squeaked by, i saw that game.

they beat oregon and numerous ranked teams in the pac12, and usc is now ranked too

They lost to Utah, which has 1 PAC12 win (Stanford) and USC was not ranked at the time of their game. Nitpick much?
Edit: you can't blame TOSU for northwestern's struggles after the fact.

the rankings will get clearer once all the games are played at which all the buckeyes opponent will most likely be unranked. stanford has wins against oregon and ucla and all 3 will most likey still be ranked after the season.

You're discounting the BIG championship they will play against Michigan State, who will likely be top 10 at the time of that game. Meanwhile, Stanford will not play in the PAC12 championship at all.

youre right, they will finally have a challenge, hopefully they do enough, and by enough, i mean completely destroy the spartans to warrant a top 3 ranking.

5 wins against teams over .500
I wouldn't say they've been completely unchallenged. NWs woes are due to injuries to their team, including their starting QB. Can't knock TOSU for that. A healthy NW is still top 25
