Positivity my friend, positivity.
Most of the secondary will be here next year, most of the front 7 will not.

Which is why I don't get benching Josh Evans and not players like Geno Hayes and Jason Babin who likely don't fit into the team's future and are playing just as poorly. Either Winston Guy is playing really well in practice,or the young LBs (La'Roy Reynolds, JT Thomas ) are not showing anything.
But Winston Guy is still only a second year player. And he was a guy that showed some flashes for the Seahawks in the preseason. Might as well see what he has.

It's unfortunate - but the Jags just don't have a better player to plug into Hayes or Babin's positions.
I'm sure they don't expect all-pro safety play from Guy, but if his limited experience helps him play a bit smarter than Evans and Evans is pushed to step up his game a little - then it was worth the adjustment.
i was about to celebrate because i thought we had jameis but its just another guy lol
Our D-coordinator has no clue what he is doing. Losing faith fast with that guy. He needs to go far away.

He'll be crushed when he hears that you've lost faith in him.

How about I give you the keys to a Corolla and ask you to win the Daytona 500.
Exactly my point they selected the personnel.
They're rookies, people. You should expect them to have major growing pains, especially on a winless team. I don't see any problem in giving Evans a bit of a fight.
But now, in his defense, a lot of teams gave him a 3rd-4th round grade coming out and even the Jags were surprised he lasted til the 6th.
All the rookies are getting a pass from me this year though. Things are bad everywhere.

Huh? The D coordinator was involved in the Jags draft the past 4 years?

Babich did? Interesting.
I would say the entire defense is disappointing. Our veterans and FA's in the front 7 outside of Posluszny and Allen have been terrible. Hayes replaced Daryl Smith and it's not even a contest. Our CB's have been injured and there has been no time to get acclimated. And with rookies on the field it is easy to feel the need to pick up the slack the front 7 is responsible for (pressuring the QB, making the run difficult, tipping passes). I can say our D-line is the worst in the league in everything relevant about playing defense. I would never have seen this coming by how stout we looked in pre-season it seemed we had made a lot of strides.

Caldwell and co. had a laundry list of all-pro defenders waiting at the door for a contract and they decided "meh, let's just stick with what we've got."
Right?

Marks can be a fixture at DT, IMO.

Marks and Allen are the only two players who will definitely be here next year in the front 7.
Well..... Guy didn't really show much today. Neither did Evans. (except that he still feels the need to flap his gums after a routine tackle)

Coach T... is that you?

It's what Gators do.
I disagree. A lot of times I said to myself "nice tackle!" And then realizing it was evans. He's got potential
