What's more important...

Scoring points and winning football games

or

Losing, but throwing garbage time passes to pad your stats?

Bortles did not out play Mariota.

If you were intelligent and understood statistics......scoring offense vs. scoring defense, etc. You would see what the problem has been for the past 4 years. Vegas sportsbook insiders are driven off of these stats.....that's why the Jags are never favored for the past 4 years--they give up 27-28 ppg.
Quote:All that cognigtive ability and yet Bortles is on pace for MUCH less INTs than Manning has his first 5 years. Manning actually digressed in Year 4 and 5. Bortles is getting better all 3 years in INT %. You're just not good at analyzing numbers.

Always the comparisons to QBs that ended up in the HOF. lol.

You could show the same comparisons for a hundred other QBs that threw as many INTs that ended up backups or completely washed out of the league.

I think a better comparison for BB would be Joey Harrington, Josh McCown, Jeff George, David Carr, David Klingler, etc instead of Manning, Favre and the like.

**side note - I believe Bortles could have success with game plans tailored to keep him away from his weaknesses. Steve Tasker said last week that Hackett was doing that very thing..

Bortles ended up with very modest yardage. However, the game plan allowed him to have safer throws, and no INTs, which gave the Jags a real chance at winning.

Admittedly though, the TD pass to Lee was VERY risky.

After the play, Tasker said "As soon as he let that pass go, I was immediately thinking UH-OH. That's gong to be an INT or headache (bone-crunching hit) because the safety was in perfect position to get it. But, the safety completely overran that play. I don't know what he was doing there."

So why do you want Blake to go to the Texans? If Blake is so good, wouldn't you want him here?

... and this impacts BB5's horrible mechanics, wobbling ,inaccurate ducks and inability to read defenses exactly how genius? Koo-koo for Cocoa puffs this one is.

Because the Jags have an incompetent owner who has kept the worst head coach in NFL history 1 year too long. I've given up hope. He's the opposite of Donald Trump who knows how to get things done. Khan is a joke. He's run Fulham into the ground.

So, again, you're not a Jags fan.

So why come here?
You may know statistics...but you are as blind as a bat.

I was a Jags fan until mid-season when I watched the locker room quit on Pus Bradley. Khan sits there like a baby, stroking his inept son talk about 4th quarter scoring between the 10-20 yard lines.
Loser

This class is an Ad Hominem argument : This an example of a logical fallacy. The arguer claims the other person does not understand statistics - This statement attack the character of the other person and has no relevance to the claims, does not have any supporting evidence or details and does not back up any claim made by Spacetoast. Be aware of Logical Fallacies class.

Cool.

See ya later. You can go on the UCF messages boards now and talk Bortles.

It's logic that you have an issue with.

Not really, they're not that badly off financially and are above mid-table in the Championship (2nd tier of English Football). That's about their level, with their fanbase and their attendances. Yeah they had a spell in the Premier League, but they're not really a Premier League level team.

And you sell/own an insurance company. That actually makes sense. Great thread btw. Bortles is alright. Aren't you concerned about his ever decrease YPA since the OC changed? Hackett has cut down on turnovers but I am wondering if Blake will even hit 4k with him.

I disagree, the reason we lost is cause we aren't good enough to win that way. Less T/O is good, but if you still give up 27 points, and can't score consistently then your gonna lose.

The Jags defense has not been giving up that many points the past few games prior to Buffalo.

The Jags most definitely could've won against Houston and Detroit and KC if not for the offensive and special teams turnovers.

They can win playing offense that way. The defense just gagged badly in the 2nd half vs the Bills.
Now do the Int's the last two years
