That. Having that monster Villaneuva helps ease the loss too.
Quote:As someone who lives in Steeler Country... there's nothing surprising at all about how well Beechum has been playing. He's a solid LT. Pittsburgh had to choose which LT to sign and being that he was injured, we lucked out.
One easy way to know you have a good LT: not giving up any sacks to Denver's defense.
He is playing well. Give him the money.

I will take $40 million, please.
So why were fans saying earlier this season Kelvin Beachum is not an upgrade?

Because they weren't aware of who he is?
I dunno. He's always been a solid LT. Pittsburgh use ended up with 2 of them, and when he got hurt, they moved on.
Dave gave him the definition of a "prove it" deal, and he's proven it.
4 year $40 mil option will definitely been used this offseason, and rightfully so.
Yeah, Beachum is good.
Parnell is the one that is continually getting beat or causing penalties. He was a backup in Dallas for a reason.
BTW:
Remember, after the Titans game the ESPN reporter said a Jags player told her that "I don't think we have the right QB".
That was assumed to be Beachum, due to his ties to that reporter and him coming from another team (Pitt). I remember people giving him a lot of "flack" for that comment.
Beachum's comment (assuming it was him) about not having the right QB was a window into how offensive players were viewing Bortles.
Couple Beachum's comment with the looks from AROB yesterday, it sure looks like Beachum was right about that all along.
Quote:Yeah, Beachum is good.

ARob can't be giving anybody looks...

I feel the same way and have made the same observations you did.
AROB definitely has a problem with Bortles on the field. He is probably frustrated that he has to make insane catches on every single pass thrown his way.

Robinson was our top receiver and made a lot of "insane" catches (jumping in double coverage like nobody else) since their first full game together. I don't understand why he is dropping balls that were easy catches during his first two years. He drops balls that were perfectly on target and I expect him to catch. When new coaches fix Bortles, we will see the 2015-esque Robinson again.

Keep supporting, yes our FANS deserve better and we will deliver. I ain't going anywhere! In this thang for the long haul. Be blessed
In a season where our players have been tweeting and mocking the fans weekly, it's really hard not to like Beachum.

Agree. What's not to like. For all the pot banging and rah rah out of yesterday's F announcer group, Denver didn't play "incredible" on defense. Average QB play and the game isn't even close yesterday.
EDIT:
And if he gets the money and tails off, I'm fine with my comments in this thread being used against me

This is a season when players are telling fans how wrong they are to turn on them because it is true. If you act like you are not a fan, you are not a fan. Players have every reason and right to criticize "fans" for disrespecting the team.

Denver has an elite defense. Only delusional, ignorant, and stupid or blind football fans don't know that. So claiming it was just a bad day for Denver's defense (which won the game) without giving our offense any credit would be saying you don't know much about either team.
Beachum had a stellar game against the Broncos. I enjoyed watching "Jags Wired" this week where three different players (Bortles, Von Miller and a Jaguars defensive player) gave him congrats. No doubt he was the top available free agent LT when Caldwell signed him.

Of course Von Miller praised him. The only tine he really got to Bortles was on the fourth quarter fumble.

LOL this chick... I'm glad she has me ignored these days..
Guys.. GUYS!... We should be giving our Offense CREDIT for the 10 points they put up.
THEY ROCK! SO AWESOME!
Denver's defense in 2016 is a media creation. I didn't see anything yesterday worth praising. They took advantage of poor QB play. Yeah but the 3 turnovers.... bah that is on the subpar QB play. Linder went out and did anyone notice a drop off in play? Oline is playing well.

I wouldn't necessarily go that far.
They are also statistically one of the top defenses in the league, specifically pass defense.
Miller IS leading the league in Sacks, and they mentioned his tandem with one of the other players (can't recall who) is also the leading tandem. Their secondary is fantastic, and the statistics back that up.
Our O-Line did a fine job, yesterday. No doubt.

Would someone put this troll back under the bridge please? SHe's out of control with the name calling.
