Quote:Yep, and its about Teddy's game having the important attributes that translate into successful NFL QB.
For such a good QB draft as this upcoming one is touted to be.....I'm not really seeing it much after Teddy. I'm not.
I agree. Bridgewater is a pocket passer who can make the necessary throws. He stands in and takes a shot if need be, can create a little extra time, but his game is not predicated on scrambling around to be good.
I have also grown fond of Mariotta, I think he's going to be pretty good too.
Quote:Maybe you should get a football and quit worrying about his GF.
I got a footfriend but i need a girlball.....

Well I got a ballfriend but i need a footgirl, maybe we could swap or something.
Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but that USF coach, coached under Jim Harbaugh at Stanford WITH Luck.
Also now Eric Galko and a long time poster on FF (Not a Jaguars fan) have claimed to have sources in Jaguars scouting that say Bridgewater is the clear #1 player on the Jaguars radar.
Quote:Don't understand why people are jumping on TMD. It's an on topic post in the right place about a discussion that's been happening on the board. Big deal.
Side note: Heero's latest post in the thread probably proves why TMD felt the need to come on here with this.
Yeesh.
People don't jump on TMD for liking Bridgewater. People jump on TMD for telling everyone they are idiots for liking a different player more. It's not the opinion, it's the insult to everyone that doesn't follow it.
On topic, just watched Kiper on ESPN. He still has Bridgewater ahead of Mariota, but says he is waiting for the UCLA game to give a final opinion. McShay has Mariota ahead of Bridgewater.
Kiper also has Winston over both of them.

Both of them have been two of the worst QB evaluators of the past decade. Like epically terrible.
You should search for "Todd McShay Larry Snead".
One great article on him being labeled the "Quarterback killer"

Quote:Todd McShay, is considered “a joke” in the league: “McShay does not have any good connections. Higher-ups in the league think he is an arrogant [expletive]. A know-it-all. And he really knows nothing. Whatever he says about a quarterback, take it to the bank, it will be the opposite.” Exhibit A is former Kentucky quarterback Andre Woodson, a McShay favorite who went in the sixth round in 2008 and is now out of the league. This year’s Woodson, according to PFT’s scout: Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead,
Quote:You mean another Pro Teddy Bridgewater thread? What is there like 15?
TMD is his agent. I'm awaiting word from the NCAA that Bridgewater is ruled ineligible for the remainder of the season for meeting with his agent in Philadelphia.
I agree with TMD in that Teddy is the best QB in this class, and will be a star in the NFL. I have firmly believed this for the last 13 months.
I do think Mariota has the potential to be a stud in the NFL too. So what. Sue me.
Teddy > the field, though.

I absolutely feel like Mariota could be a star.
I just want in no way shape or form want to bet the net ecade of the franchise or Caldwell/Gus' careers on the kid,
The media is trying to set up for a nother "LUCK OR RG3?!?!?!" media bonanza, RG3 never had a shot at the number one. And neither does Mariota.

The article also said that McShay called out that Clausen would be a bust while Kiper said he would be a can't miss guy.
People miss on players all the time... Aaron Curry 5 years ago was the one player everyone "knew" was going to work out. The safe pick if you will.... He no longer has a job.

It's probably due to the constant need for namecalling. Just a guess.

Not canonizing either one of them, just presenting a point of view from someone other than the coach about to face Bridgewater. They are the 2 draftniks that most folks recognize.
Guess I'll go find out what Mayock is saying.
Quote:Wow @ six QB's going in the first 15 picks.
I would be shocked if it plays out that way. I think about even at this point last year. Almost all of the draft "experts" had Geno Smith as the first pick. And they almost all had Bjoern Werner, Damontre Moore and Jonathan Hankins in the top 5.

I can see 7 (Bridgewater, Mariota, Mettenberger, Hundley , Carr, Boyd, Manziel) going in the top 10, it would have to happen via trades but it's certainly possible.

They also do nothing but sit back and wait for the current trend to materialize and jump on it. This is why they were two of the last ones to put the two LT's 1 and 2 on their mocks last year. Now they are jumping on the Mariota hype train that because a week ago.

Keep in mind these are early mocks and they cannot account for things such as FA pickups. Everyone thought KC would take a QB until they picked up Alex Smith.
