Quote:Yeah man. On Madden over the years I've won like...a zillion super bowls. Plus, I can win over the other GMs with my winning personality. I should send KHAN!!!!! my resume.
oh.....you were talking about Madden, yes of course. Uhm, me too....thats what I meant too. :whistling:

No man. I'm talking about LIFE. Who do you think told Belichick to draft Tom Brady in the 6th round? Who do you think convinced Bill Parcells that this guy Tony Romo should be given a chance? You think Archie taught Peyton everything he knows? Hah! Archie was mediocre. He did Eli, I didn't want to touch him. I MADE Kurt Warner out of brown paper bags from Publix!! This team needs me. Clearly.

I think it was uh.....other kids....huh, huh heh, huh, huh....uh yeah....huh
Quote:Valid questions and all, but while we're speculating, how about this scenario:
The person interested in your jewelry gives you a firm price for it. You say, "Cool," and then yell out, "This guy will give me 500 bucks for my ring. It's a great ring, so who wants to give me 600?" There are no takers. You go back to the guy and say, "OK, we have a deal." Original guy says, "Well, since no one was interested, I'll give you 300 bucks."
That's the chance you run when you make things public.
Again, we can only speculate on whether or not Caldwell got the best deal. Personally, I'm just glad we got something, because Monroe's value was decreasing with each passing week.
I wish it was his idea and had been shopping him. That is my problem with how it went down. It isnt like we got some amazing deal and he HAD to jump on it. You don't think anyone else would have given a 4th and 5th round for Monroe (and I'm not one who thinks we should have received a 1st round pick for him).

yep. more that I am in agreement with

Never doubt me. You don't want to know what happens when people doubt me.
Quote:Great example!
See. jtmoney knows what's up.
Quote:All very good posts.
They don't want to hear it though.
Lol JTMoney is TMD's mouth piece. He just continually keeps agreeing with him and will use his arguements for years to come.

He's making good points. Too bad they paint Caldwell as mismanaging the situation. Heres a tissue...

Just find me the memo that Cleveland was going to give us a 3rd rounder, and we'll all acquiesce.

Well he at least made one good point. Agreeing with me.
Quote:If you believe Oehser - he stated on the radio (and in the o-zone) that Caldwell spoke to "several" teams. He said that in direct response to someone saying that Caldwell hurt the value by not shopping Monroe enough.
So he either knows more than you - or he's lying.
That picture he paints contradicts almost everything that came out about the situation previously. To me it sounds like damage control from O
Anyone jumping down JT throat must have not been in the Monroe thread he was clearly in the wait and see camp before being critical of the move. Hardly a mouth piece for anyone.
Just because someone's critical of move doesn't make them a lapdog for anyone else if anything the blind homerism is lapdogish

I said he was a mouth piece because TMD was piggy backing off every single one of his responses to say I agree. Simple as that.

On this issue, I agree with TMD. I've disagreed with him more then I have agreed with him not that it matters.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Diesel, as jt states here, I have also brought similar themed opinion on this issue in past threads, too, so theres no "piggybacking", its merely shared opinion.
I know this angers some of you as people must find ways to defend team mismanagement around here, but we both have brought up good points on this issue since the trade happened.

HIS points are fine, I just disagree. I think a 4th and 5th is enough value for a guy that wasnt coming back next year and was going to demand a high dollar contract anyway. Baltimore got nowhere near the value we did for Monroe.
You assume Caldwell hasnt shopping certain players and when one is traded you just assume he went with the first offer that came his way. He seems like a pretty sharp guy, I dont think it went down that way.
Quote:Monroe wasn't coming back here. Getting value was good enough. Caldwell didn't get "schooled" on anything.
You sound like a dude that goes into a car dealership and accepts the sticker price because the dealer threw in some free floor mats.

LOL.....yeah, as does Caldwell...
