I found something better to do after the 1st quarter. So no it doesn't hurt apathy has set in for me. I imagine at some point this season I won't even watch and that is the real problem.

This level of suck people lose interest a lot of those people never come back we can't afford that type of drop off.
No, it doesn't hurt anymore.  I realize we're terrible and don't expect us to win.

It is very hard for us fans, though.

It can't "hurt" anymore because no one on here should be expecting to win.

If we had playoff intentions then yes. .. the Losses would hurt.
We have lost twelve in a row.....heading for thirteen.

We're 7 wins and and 25 losses for the last three years, all with four different head coaches, two GMs, and two owners. One playoff win in over thirteen years.

Hurt ain't the word.

Utterly disgusted would be a good starting point.

This comment describes the entire Jaguar organization over the last 13 years. Bravo Sir, bravo.

A special kinda suck one could say!
I stuck around and watched the whole game, but at some point I'll stop watching at the half when it's obvious we're getting blown out.  Sucks I spent $300 on NFL Sunday TIcket, but no sense in wasting good time after bad money.

Quote:Don't you kinda wish we actually did suck for Luck tho? I mean our QB would be set for the next 12 years
Colts looking awfully good.  Man those meaningless wins really helped us out in the long run..

That's why I don't understand the idea behind winning a few games and sucking more.  We need to be "all in" and get our franchise QB and try to energize the fan base.
Hurt? No.. Disappointment filled? Yes..

In my opinion, hurt is losing a game where you're a heavy favorite.. Disappointment is the end result of expecting better play only to keep waking up at 6am to Sonny and Cher's "I got you babe"..

Mad is a better word. The previous regime set us way, way back. It's also frustrating to know that, as bad as we are, the NFL insists in making it more difficult for us, each and every Sunday.

I want to chime in, but not sure what to say

Years ago, Jags' outcome on Sunday correlated to my week's outlook

Now I just watch

And sometimes listen as I look at the muted screen of whatever other game is on TV

When a good thing happens, I expect it to be for the opponent

When the announcer says, 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct, another missed oppurtumity, no chance from the onset

I look up knowing it's my dear deplorable Jags

Numb but emotionally invested

Why else am I here at 2 am?

From a clinic in Riverdale, Bronx

Hey, my posting style is all 'poetry like' tonight

So I have that going for me, which is nice

God bless you my dear deplorable Jags

Apathy is what I feel... For the first time ever, I didn't watch the complete game. I changed the channel at the end of the third qtr. and watched Harold & Kumar do White Castle...At least THAT was entertaining and not painful to watch,.

I always wanted to be a football player, but I wan't physically gifted enough, but then i watched this team... where can I sign up....

Between the Gators and the Jaguars... I don't know if we could tell the difference if they switched uniforms...

It doesnt hurt at all... at the end of the day, I didn't look like a fool out there.
I guess Tim Tebow is the answer....

Not a bit. I spent the day yesterday doing something enjoyable with my wife rather than going to the game. The money is already sunk, I might as well at least enjoy myself rather than having a 3 hour exercise in trying to control my blood pressure.

Also, the Jaguars HAVE TO START HENNE FROM HERE ON OUT! Right?

It really doesn't hurt, but I'd agree that it's constantly disappointing.  I tell myself every week that I should skip the game and do something else, but so far I never have.  I can see it happening this year though.

No, I'm with the OP.  It doesn't hurt any more.   I'm becoming apathetic.

I do have season tickets and I do go to the games.   But it's becoming harder and harder to focus on what's happening on the field.   My mind wanders.   I look at the pretty girls.   I look up at the sky and watch a pigeon circling the stadium.

It really really sucks.  It doesn't hurt like it used to.   It's just depressing.

Can't criticise the fans, though.   I've been to NFL games in other cities with losing teams, New Orleans, Tampa, Baltimore, back in the late 90s.  There were about 10,000 fans total that showed up in the Super Dome for a Jaguar game in the late 90s.

I wonder about next season, though.  Who's going  to renew their season tickets after TWO years of this?

They'll offer two free beers, a hot dog and a free date with the Roar Cheerleader of your choosing, if you renew next year.

At times, the team looks like they can compete with anyone, and other times (most), they look totally inept. I know most of that is talent level, but one has to wonder how much of it is coaching.

I was hoping to just use this year to evaluate the talent that Caldwell drafted, and with LJ's injury, most of the focus is on Cyprien, and he has played spotty.

Actually, we are 7 and 32 over the last 3 years.  It was 7-25 heading into this year.  Nauseating is the word I can best describe the team.  And no, it doesn't hurt.  I've been numbed.
