After only being on the team a couple weeks, Freeman is Fraziers guy.

That was quick. But he's the best QB on the roster. I like the move.

Can you blame him, when the other options are Cassel and Ponder?
Go Giants!

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

He is only his guy because he is coaching for his job right now. If the Vikings end up going 3-13/4-12, he is out of a job. A playoff return is unlikely but maybe he could get close to .500 and save his job. It is desperation.

That, and the fact that Freeman is the best QB on the roster.
Possibly. But none of them are any good.

Now we get to see if we should have signed him or not.. was the TB thing just a bad fit? We'll find out Smile

time to trade for jennings in my fantasy team

I like this move. Jennings is about to explode.

Just win baby!

I will pick them to get their first win Monday night if nobody gives me a good reason not to.

So they shouldn't tank?  I thought it was all about the tank and no meaningless wins with Freeman?

Why would the Vikings want to lose on purpose on national TV?

why should we have signed a guy like that?....not good enough to ever take a team to a title, and not bad enough to where you ever wind up with the top players in the draft. Freeman leads you to nowhereland.

They already have a win. So, they are already behind the 8 ball in terms of draft position. They almost have to try to salvage the season & try for playoffs, thats why they brought Freeman in to begin with.

Don't you see the contradiction?

There's no contradiction there.  The Vikings can't tank at this point -- and Leslie Frazier is a coach fighting for his job.

So if we had 1 win right now, Josh Freeman would make sense?

Nope.  Our situation is different.  The Vikings made the Playoff last season with freakin Christian Ponder, meaning that they won games despite their bad QB plays.  They signed Jennings and drafted Patterson in the first round with the hope of giving Ponder weapons.  Obviously, Ponder didn't work out.  Their team, overall, is in much better shape than this Jags team.  They wanted to give Freeman a new start, so there's no reason to "tank" their season.  If Freeman doesn't work out, ohh well, that's a bad acquisition for them and they will draft a new QB this May.
Now think about the other sideline. How will the switch to Freeman affect the Giants defense?
