I am in reality. We played 3 near perfect teams. We are not as bad as some think we are. But have a long way to go.

I prefer "Goodbye Fried Rice, Hello Fried Chicken!"
I wish, just don't see it happening.

My call as much as I hate to think about it is Jags go 0-15, head to Indy for a meaningless game for the Colts and Jags win that one to avoid the Worst team ever debate.

B. Anyone who thinks that if they do win, that it would be a bad thing, needs to turn in their fan card immediately.

What more is there to say....

Before the monday night game, I thought, hey why not a win this Sunday??   The bolts are coming off a short week.  Then I remembered that they actually have a QB where as we have the genetic soup that could one day evolve into a QB after millions of years of evolution.

I'd love to see us win, but I'd be just as happy with another really close game where we score  20+ points without the help of the D or special teams.  I'm looking for 3 TD's by the Offense.  That to me would be a nice victory.  I think we win 3 games this year...  2 against the tacks and 1 against the bills.  3 wins will still get us at minimum the 3rd pick, and I think good enough to begin contending for a SB.  Someone mentioned it another thread...  Flacco won a SB.  The QB is important, no doubt, but if you have a good/great front office you can build a strong enough overall team where you can contend without a Manning.  Heck, Manning so far has only won 1 SB.  It takes more than just a Luck or a Manning...  Yes we need a franchise QB, but I think we can get one without having to go 0-16, that's all I'm saying.

As for B.  Couldn't agree more.  I was getting sick of hearing everyone, and I mean everyone, speak about going 0-16 to get the #1 pick.  We don't need to be in that category to secure our future.  Let's root like winners by rooting for a winning product, not a tank job!

I think you've predicted a win every single week since the game after Seattle, TMD...

Quote:Classic let down game for the Chargers. Big Monday night football win for them at home, and then they travel cross country to play east-coast lackluster team at 1pm.

The Jags were never as bad as the hyperbole of the first 4 weeks was saying, as I pointed out then - 3 of the 4 losses the Jags sustained, and all the blowout losses were to teams that are/ will be SB contending teams.

PLus they didn't have their best player in Blackmon.

In the last 2 games, the Jags have played better football, and I'm not surprised.

This week the Jags will beat the Chargers, and probably really hurt their chances at getting Teddy Bridgewater in the process, but hey.....at least we'll have a meaningless win (considering the bigger picture), probably the first of at least 3 or 4 this season.

Yes they were.

You realize one of those "near perfect" teams just got beat by the Chargers yesterday right?
Jaguars will get their first win of the season this weekend....

Going to be a sack fest in the San Diego backfield....

Jaguars 24

Chargers 23

I was talking hawks, broncos, and chiefs
If you add in our rivals that is four. And any team can win any given sunday

Well said !
Plus who knows if we would of won one of those games with Blackmon.
The Jags will not beat the Chargers.  Notably, the Chargers have the superior lines and QB.  I don't see a blow out like I would have imagined a couple weeks ago, as the Jags are looking better than the horrendous first games.  Chargers 27, Jags 17

Nope.

Intelligent fans are smart enough to see the bigger picture, that losing as many games as it takes to get the #1 pick, will have much more future benefit for this team long term, than winning a few extra meaningless games and finishing 3-13 rather than say 1-15.

I could make the argument that the fans hoping for wins now are the ones that need to turn their fan card in, because they are essentially "wishing that we continue down mediocrity path for yet another decade"
And I will counter that statement. With this. Those who have tickets and watch the game. Do not say or think. Wouldn't it be great to watch this for over three hours. And be blown out. Or lets have fun and watch us lose.
but phillips rivers has not arm strength left?  Phft, SD wins this game in a close one.

I think people are forgetting that against a team that allowed 11 passing touchdowns on the season... that we had 0 against them.

I'm not rooting for the team to lose.  But if we win, I sincerely hope that it's because the Jaguars played hard rather than because the Chargers played soft.  We've had too many wins where opponents were soft on us in the past.

However, I don't think we win this one.

Win for what? A moral victory. You think the Colts wish they had won those last few games when Luck was staring at them? Here is how it boils down for those who still don't get it.

A) Potential Franchise QB that would cement the team, be the rock of the franchise for the next 10 or more years.

B ) Potential Franchise QB that would cement the team, be the rock of the franchise for the next 10 or more years.

There is really only one option. Until you get that guy you are just another team. Thinking you can be cheap and get that guy later is just stupid. Also, ask the Texans if they'd rather have a upgrade at QB or JJ Watt....I bet they take the better QB every time.
