Quote:That is only part of it. Manning can throw all day and none of it will matter without tight ends and wide receivers.  So the question is how will our secondary perform against Eric Decker, Wes Welker, and Dametriyus Thomas?
Are we talking about the same secondary that left Reggie Wayne all alone in the end zone?  :woot:
Quote:Look for me. I'll be at the game, wearing a Jags jersey (either Jimmy Smith or Boselli) with a paper bag over my head. The paper bag will likely have a mustache drawn on it, if I can figure out how to do so.

Funny story: I walked into a liquor store near my house and asked if they had any brown paper grocery bags. The clerk handed me one and asked what it was for. I told her, and she grabbed three more and apologized in advance.

Paper bags on heads is for losers, and I'm not talking about the team.
Quote:Obviously, nobody is expecting a huge upset. Anyone who does predict that has probably already been called an idiot. However, that does not mean watching the game on Sunday is a waste of our time. Pay attention to our execution. Is everyone showing effort all day or are some guys giving up when they get far behind? Are they treating this game like a preseason game or playing like they believe it is possible to win? Will playing against their former coach (JDR) and teammate (Terrance Knighton) affect them? In other words, look for a real attempt to win this game against all odds. If we don't believe we have a chance to win even the hardest game of the year, we will show that in how we play and make a lot of stupid mistakes that only make the game worse.

Mind you, I am not saying have more faith in winning or keeping the score close. I know that is very hard to do after seeing four blowout losses and a 14-point loss. But that pessimism is not an option for the Jaguars players. They have to believe they can do what most people say is impossible. While we don't need the faith, they certainly do to even look decent on the field.

It also is important to focus not on the scoreboard, but how Denver is scoring and we are not. Which positions or players are the biggest culprits? Is anybody playing decent considering who the opponent is? When we struggle, is it mostly us being bad, Denver being good, or a combination of both? That is how we should watch the game, since we all know we need a miracle to pull off an upset.

As long as we get a blindfold and  a cigarette.

Disgusting.
Looking for ?? Hmmm??  The remote? Watching DelRios smirk as he enacts revenge may be too much for me. The new TV I just bought will not look good with a long neck sticking out of it.

But watching Pot Roast and MJD collide may be entertaining.

I hope we take out Manning Sunday... i'm so sick of the NFL kissing this guys tail...

What are they going to do when he's gone.... i'm ready to see...

Babin late hit time baby!!!!!

Kissing his tail? Have you even watched him? Love or hate him, the guy is remarkable. After "hating" him for years as he came here and put it on us, I look back and think...we will one day, say...we saw one of the greatest to ever play the game once a year for many years here in Jacksonville.

To take him out on a late hit? Really? That's how you want to win? Put down the meth pipe.

What are they going to do when he's gone? Same as Green Bay when Rodgers is, or NE when Brady is... duh.

Unlike the Jags, like what are" they" going to do when" their" starting QB is gone? Improve. :whistling:

Illiteracy is nothing to be ashamed about.

We're working on using only pictures and icons.

In the meantime have someone read it to you.
will the offense be able to put together sustained drives?

You're an idiot. Were you saying the same things about Jordan? or Gretzky? or Montana?

Have you not watched him play? He has 20 Td's in 5 games. He is on pace to break every passing record known to man.

No one said you have to like him but show some respect.
I actually agree with JW on this. We will get mercked thats for sure but who will show some grit and make a few plays. Especially on the defensives side of the ball. Teams have been able to move and score on denver due to a suspect secondary and Manning scoring hyper fast.

I know the offense will score a few points on that D with JB back. That said we will likely be fielding a mostly rookie secondary with the  #2  and #3 CBs and both safeties being rookie as well. Id love to see them make some plays on the ball and get a couple big pops on Decker,Thomas, and Welker. Personally i wanna see them try that zig route to Wes Welker in the slot on Cypriens side. Welker's punk self needs to get his clock cleaned.

Probably not on consecutive series, and maybe only one all day, but I think they can do it at least once.
Quote:Why the paper bag?  Just so you can get on TV?
No. The paper bag because I'm embarrassed by my team, and because it's the only way I'll make it into Invesco Field alive. Out of it is a different story--if the Jaguars injure Peyton Manning, I'm liable to be stabbed.

It is called Sports Authority Field now.
Lets suppose Manning is gonna score everytime he gets the ball. Simple game plan to make it more competitive.Never give him a long field to eat up clock.  Onside kick every kick off, i mean Scobee just drill one of the up guys and let it bounce around, we at least have a chance to get it. Next, leave anger on the bench give yourself 4 downs to get 10 yards, i mean what is the sence of punting to them if he is gonna score let him do it quickly and not eat up 8 mins with a long 80 yard drive. At least if the bounces go our way Manning could theoreticly never see the field. But i really dont think we could cover every onside kick. :teehee:

At first I thought this was the dumbest idea I'd ever heard.  Then I thought...at least it would be interesting.  Terrible idea, but I'd be for it.  It'd give me some fun.
Here' s what I'm looking for this Sunday...

Can the OTs Bradfield or Pasztor be effective again? If one steps up, could save a high draft pick next year.

Can Clay Harbor play effectively?  Be great to make Lewis expendable/tradeable.

Can Blackmon repeat his last game performance?  I hope it was no fluke.

Sanders should be a weapon in both the return and slot roles.  Will he be?

Can the front seven stop the explosive run plays this week?

What I won't be watching....

The secondary.  Without a pass rush and with the hot Manning, not much should be expected there.
"Great moments... are born from great opportunity. And that's what you have here, to..."

Nevermind

Were going to be behind early so im excited to see lots of passes thrown to our young WR core.

Cyp and Evans are going to be beat a lot going against Manning, but i bet they make a few plays too.

Paztor seems like a possible future option at RT, so ill be watching him as well.
