Quote:Would anyone be for darfting Teddy #1 overall then taking possibly a C/OG in the 2nd then taking Manziel in the 3rd?
Sorta like what the Redskins did with darfting RGIII then taking Kirk Cousins in the 4th i believe.
If Manziel ends up transitioning well into the NFL then maybe we have some serious trade bait for someone, or maybe he ends up being better than Teddy(Highly unlikely imo, just saying).
I mean, the dude definitely has some talent, but we do have a ton of holes on this team so taking 2 qb's with the top 3 picks might be a little foolish.
I wouldn't be against taking a QB in round 4, if a good one fell that far...
Like if Aaron Murray falls to our 4th rounder, I'd gladly draft him there....It would be like 1995, when we already had Brunell, but drafted Rob Johnson in the 4th.....then developed RJ and traded him for profit....thats the way to do it.
Manziel will be long gone by then, however....some nut GM will overdraft him....probably in the first round.

i dont think manziels ego could handle that lol. also i doubt he lasts until round 3.

So he'll be a Bronco? Poor Brock Osweiler.
I hope some GM
does overdraft him. Leaves better players for us.

Ahh, the good ole' days.
Yeah I would like Aaron Murray in round 4 for sure. He's got some potential.
Quote:There's an article on ESPN that tracks Total QBR and Adjusted QBR (based on strength of defenses faced):
http://espn.go.com/ncf/notebook/_/page/o...arterbacks
the way the board talks about teddy, he should be 1st in 3rd down qbr, i didnt think he'd be 6th. any teddy fans have an explanation for this?

Other than the fact that QBR is a universal joke amongst intelligent sports fans? It's literally something ESPN made up. The article on the front page is trying to pimp it.
Connor Shaw had a single touchdown pass and 260 yards and had a 96.2 QBR lol

Lol, they will make every excuse in the book. If Teddy was number one they same people that say QBR is a joke would of already posted this.

I don't know how long you have been posting on forums, but QBR is universally laughed at. It basically skyrockets if you are a game manager and/or get a bunch of long yardage receptions.

I have been posting on forums for a while. I never said it tells all. It shows a little but im just saying if Teddy was at the top of the list it would already of been posted but since he is down the list it is a joke. The QBs on that list are pretty much the top QBs in the nation

No one would do that. College stats never directly effect how good of an NFL prospect someone will be. That's why it's always some scrub from Baylor or another 5 wide air raid offense QB (Fales) that dominate QB stats.
But QBR puts ridiculous amounts of weight on YPC. A stat that is a lot of times determined by the receiver more than the QB. And opponent defense quality.
And the normal QBR (Not the silly "Adjusted QBR") is still bogus but much less so;
http://espn.go.com/ncf/qbr/_/sort/qbr
By that Teddy is 3rd just above Jameis.
Tom Brady's QBR this year is 50.95
Last year Blaine Gabbert's QBR was 40.94. He was ahead of Phillip Rivers. And Chad Henne.
i was talking about the
3rd down qbr rather than tqbr which imo should be more telling of a qb. in which teddy is ranked 6th.

blaine was actually playing better last year compared to rivers and henne before he got hurt, and tom brady has no weapons at WR or RB and alot of his passes are dropped due to the young wr core. so those qbr are actually telling of their performances.

I've been thinking about this, if we should do like the Redskins with RG3 and then drafted Cousins.
I'd be happy with Teddy and Murray, besides we don't even have a capable backup.

Murray won't be there in the 4th round.

Someone will overrate him and take him in the third most likely.

Yeah, kinda like they did Wilson

How exactly did the Seahawks "reach" on Wilson? If he was 3 inches taller, he would have been a first round pick.

Murray is a gunslinger, it doesnt scare me but Teddy's arm strength is a concern like the guy said that made that thread. Its just Murrays height and him in big games were question marks. Murray is the most clutch QB in college this year. It was on ESPN earlier. Plus he is without his top 2 RB and top WR's and one of his olineman.
He is the only QB this year to beat 2 top 10 teams and he has played 3 (barely lost to Clemson) and Georgia off has a ton of injuries. Plus Georgia has the 95th ranked D. This video shows some throws he can make!

LOL highlight videos. Everyone can look like that in them.
I've seen some good lists on here. Here's mine, by tier, since it's way too early to definitively say anything about exact rankings IMO.
Tier 1 - Teddy
Tier 2 - Mariota, Mettenberger, Hundley, Boyd
Tier 3 - Carr, Manziel, Smith, Morris
Tier 4 - Murray, McCarron, Fales, Matthews, Renner
