Or you could not be that team that switches quarterbacks every single game (or at least try to not be that team).

Quote:Still think Fisch isn't part of the long term plans in Jacksonville. A temporary solution because better candidates didn't want to come here because our Quarterback was Blaine Gabbert. At least if what someone said, and that Fisch is only one a one year contract is true.
Keep Bradley, replace (not fire) Fisch. Gabbert has somehow regressed. I wasn't even sure if that was possible. Or maybe he hasn't regressed, and Mularkey's leash kept him from throwing so many Interceptions. Or maybe this is just the year of the interception *looks at Eli Manning and Matt Schaub*
Quote:The tight leash is part of what ruined Gabbert to begin with.
Maybe Gabbert wasn't ready to play early as a starter - and he simply shouldn't have been playing...
But once Gabbert was made starter - I think thats when you see what he has, you develop him by letting him throw the rock - and you see at that point if he learns from his mistakes. The Gabbert development was botched in so many ways, but it probably didn't matter because I don't think he was ever really all that good to begin with.
When/ if Teddy comes here though, you have to develop him the way the Colts developed Luck/ Manning - you let him sling the rock. If he throws a lot of INT's as A rookie, so be it. IMO, the worst thing you can do is handcuff a young QB. If you do that they never learn to have that killer instinct which IMO, is a necessary component of the great ones.
