Stanzi will rip time in half. He will create some crazy alternate reality where the Jags actually try to win and we will win the next 42 superbowls in a row and then they will ban us from the league for being so good. Troof'
I do not understand why they continue to stick with this bum.  1 TD vs 7ints is all you need to know.  He has 0 pocket awarenes.  Enough of this turd.  Lets see what Stanzi or atleast leave horrible henne in.  Gabbert just makes a game miserable.

Yup, i totally agree.
Maybe Caldwell will Jean Smiff, Gabbert and throw him on IR for a bruised ego.

I hope not...He's stolen enough money from this team...Let him play.  He only play's in half a game most of the time before he's hurt.
Seeing Gabbert continue to offend the position of Quarterback week after week is a punishment many of the denizens of this board, who are loyal and intelligent fans do not deserve. Those who jumped up and down like schoolgirls at a Bieber show when he was drafted and started immediately blabbering about how he would easily throw for 4000 yards and 30 TDs his rookie season, I think they may deserve a few more weeks of his "talents" to properly pay penance for their stupidity.

There were still Gabbots during this offseason saying he'll win a superbowl in 2 years if he's cut, or that we needed to see what we had in him because he had all the tools.  Haha
Gabbert is so bad . If Gabbert ever starts again for this team the NFL front office should investigate the team for win / loss manipulation , he's that bad .
Someone needs to tell Bradley that there's a word for what he's doing with continuously starting Gabbert.

Tanking.

Then you're not very bright. Really. They continue to stick with this bum because:

1. The only alternatives we have are other bums.

2. They genuinely want to see whether there's any hope of salvaging him as a player, and unlike fans they actually have an interest in doing that beyond the point where he makes us look bad for a few games of their tenure.

3. The worst case scenario (that he continues to suck) for fans is still good for the team in the medium to long term - first overall pick heading into an allegedly strong QB draft. I understand that worked out okay for the Colts...

From what they've said, there's also a 4 - that they do actually see some good things from him in practice, and it's just a case of things coming together on gameday for the whole team, but for various reasons I'm not planning on listing that. Tongue

At this point there is nothing left to see. His pocket presence alone is not improving and it is killing any chance he has to become a succesful QB. Henne may be a bum as well, but he'll stand in the pocket and make a throw. I was all for giving Gabbert a final shot this year, but it is obvious he isn't going to make it as a starter in this league.
I've seen enough.

Dude, I highly doubt they see anything salvagable.  There's plenty of game film that shows he's not an NFL QB.  It's time to just play Henna and get Stanzi ready to see if he's worth keeping around.  I can't think of 1 senario where Gabbert is still on this team next year.

His "hamstring" might be career ending.  I don't know why the jags just don't say, "we're  going to give another QB a chance".  Why do they continue to try and protect gabbert?  It's a headscratcher to me.

This confuses me as well. None of the coaches and the main decision makers have any ties to him. I understand that they don't want to throw the guy under the bus during press conferences, but we don't even get any "coach speak" that hints that they plan to just sit him. It's just all "blah, blah he's still the starter" crap.
I heard someone say Gabbert won player of the year and missed 7 of 12 games in highschool his senior year.... his parents must be rich.... what a joke!!!

The Colts already took the once in a generation qb prospect last year.  No one in this upcoming draft is a sure thing.
This is such a poor case for analytics and the NFL. I'll make one up right now. If it is early in the game and no score and the defense blows their assignments, Gabbert is 100% on finding the receive and making a play. So in this once a game scenario we will look like an offense when the reality is the other team's defense screwed up.

I'm really starting to appreciate David more as a QB. That dude played with Crohns disease and tried to gut it out with a bad back. I take back anything negative I posted.

I'd like to reference the Forrest Gump movie when his mother was trying to get him enrolled into a good school...
I am sure Stanzi is not good. Or would of started by now. But could be wrong.
