Agreed on these guys.
Lewis, MJD, Mincey, Babin, Poz
Babin and poz can go too if any interest arrive. A 6th or 7th rounder would be good for either.
Why not? Let's go from a 3-4 year rebuild to a 5-10 year rebuild.

I think you are going to get your wish, at least from the standpoint that Dave Caldwell will attempt to make many trades involving players that were with the Jaguars before Caldwell became the G.M. The question of course is what, if anything can the Jaguars get for players that either have injury / wear and tear concerns and/ or hefty contracts???

We got worse.
Now imaging cutting/trading the few players who have value (not talking about MJD, more like Poz) do you think this team may get even worse than this year?...

If your picks don't pan out its in the realm of possibility. No one bats .1000 in the draft. No one ever thought Gene would fail. But it happened.
There's a thin line between keeping the talent you have vs relying on a replacement in the draft. Some work some don't.

You would be better off keeping them if all you would get would be a 6th or 7th round pick.
Look at it this way. Would a 6th or 7th round scrub (who, if he even makes the team would be a back up at best) be better than keeping Uche or Allen, etc as a possible starter with experience or at worse a back up if his contact allows it?
Can we trade Gene Smith and get anything in return?

This is really an exciting time (well not this season), we will be able to witness a team being built before our eyes. Caldwell has to hit on his picks, and judging from this past draft I have faith in him to do so.

MJD and Poz are gone next year regardless IMO. Marcedes and Allen are probably gone. Mincey is probably gone. Uche is 50/50. Lowery is the most likely to be here, but if Evans keeps playing well, I think it become his job to lose. Lowery is too good to just sit on the bench, so it wouldn't shock me if Dave sends him off for more picks.

Poz is almost definitley gone next year, he has a cap hit upwards of 8M and he is very mediocre.
