South Carolina nearly loses to UCF[ which is not a bad football team at all] and falls back one or two spots.

SC played one good quarter on Saturday. The first half they were atrocious. Spurrier finally let Davis loose in the 2nd half. They escaped, that was for sure.
Quote:With Driskell yes. Much easier on the eyes. In the roughly game and a half that Murphy has been pulling the trigger the offense has been vastly different. And the argument was about the team as a whole and the Florida Defense is one of the best units in the country.

You have only played one good team and that resulted in a loss. Just seems odd to call out another team when your own team has struggled mightily. We will see what happens when they play some of the good opponents coming up on their schedule.

So Notre Dame is a "bad, bad team"? Can we at least try to keep a little objectivity here? I'd hate for this to be a big homer-fest. Notre Dame won't finish the season outside of the top 25. They have played one of the toughest schedules in football up to this point, but they are a decent team. Are they a great team? No. Are they "bad, bad", no... but if it fit's your agenda you can use it I guess?

I didn't call out anyone. I was replying as to why what happened, happened.Good try. In this instance, looks as if even the voters agree!

If we're going off of who has played what and who is ranked where, FSU shouldn't be close to where they are. They struggled against a very bad BC team, haven't played a team all season either. First test this weekend.

They aren't good, that is for sure. Seen them play?

Every game. Notre Dame is one of Michigan's rivals, if you didn't know that. Notre Dame is certainly better than anyone Florida has beaten.

ND and Michigan are rivals Wallbash

Florida's schedule still much tougher then Michigan's, ie., #1.

Don't make it sound like it is unanimous. The gap in the AP poll (Florida #17 481, Michigan #18 471) is small than the gap (Michigan #17 546, Florida #19 515).

I didn't. I simply answered the question posed.
Florida deserves to be ranked higher than Michigan ATM.

Florida loss a close game to a good Miami team. A Miami team that is better than both Michigan and Notre Dame.

Outside of Norte Dame (who isn't that good themselves), who has Michigan played??? Also Michigan barely won their last 2 games (against what people consider "cupcake" teams"), where as Florida has won easily.

It shouldn't really be a surprise based on what both teams have done recently.

Yup, UConn and Akron are 1-8. UConn just fired their HC. UConn tough place to win. Randy Edsall proving how good of a coach he is.

So you use the voters to support your argument and in the next sentence state FSU shouldn't be ranked where they are even though the voters ranked them there?...   Rolleyes

I really don't care to argue over where teams should be ranked.  The whole system is screwed up, but it is what it is.  Florida State will have a chance to prove themselves against maryland, miami, clemson and florida's D.  We will find out if they deserve to be where they are at or not.  It'll play itself out.  So what, they should be ranked 12th, 13th?  I mean, aren't you splitting hairs?

Greecemonke, florida has won all of their games easily?  That isn't correct.

We were talking about why UF jumped Michigan. Different situation from Florida St. No one has jumped them, they were ranked there pre-season.

But they are still being voted there.  So do the voters back up your argument or not?  Can't have it both ways.

When do voters drop a team to 13, 14, etc when they started the season top 5? Doesn't happen, and the two scenarios are much different. I am not having anything both ways, your trying to fit square block into a round hole.

You are having it both ways.  You sound like oklahomie making a gabbert argument.

Who did FSU jump, or get jumped by this week?

Who should have jumped them?

That wasn't the question.
